Who Killed K.S.Lam?
"Who Killed K.S.Lam?" is a murder mystery that proves that good old HTML can do everything flash can when it comes to point'n'click adventures. Except provide sound effects. And animation. And background music. It's still good fun though. And before you mention it I do really know that HTML can actually do all those things, but it's not the same is it? [thanks Karlee G].

Update: This game isn't as innocent as it looks - you have been warned!

Caedes Wallpaper
I'm always on the lookout for some nice wallpaper to adorn my desktop and caedes has rolls of the stuff for free including the guitar above which is now decorating my laptop.

Smart Stick Adventure
Graphically it's back to basics with the Smart Stick Adventure, but it's still a nice combo of point'n'click thinking and arcade timing which is kind of appealing. The music's cool too, well for the first 100 loops anyway [thanks ron w].

Su Doku is a kind of logic puzzle originating in Japan. They're also this week's must have in any quality UK newspaper, which given my lack of news-print reading meant I was quite happily ignoring them, but then the Metro (freebie London commuter newspaper) went and included one today which has forced me to take note and get hooked. Is there no escape from gaming?

YHJ Adventure IV
Just as you're thinking how slow YHJ Adventure IV is starting out you get hacked to death. And again. And again. This is a fairly blood thirsty point'n'click adventure.

The Return Of the Farm
I'm not even going to dignify the return of the UK reality television series The Farm with a link as it's total and utter rubbish, but that doesn't stop me liking the trailer.

Flooded Room
It's gaming déjŕ vu with escape the flooded room. I even had to double check I hadn't posted it before after reading the title. Escape the room? When did I ever have to do that in a point'n'click game before? Anyway, deep cynicism aside I do love these things, but really can we have a new script? I quote:

"Hmmm...where am I?"

"I have big headache"

"Hmmm...this is not my bed..."

"I can't remember anything...."

"Ehh...I'm going to open my eyes..."

Arrrrrrrgggggh. Anyway, the big difference in this one is that it's all against the clock as you try to avoid electrocution and drowning. Good luck, even if I think most of you won't find it a challenge by now [thanks ron].

Ps. Sorry if you've mailed in anything over the last week or so and I haven't replied or done anything with it, my mail server has been playing up and I appear to have lost about a week's worth of e-mail. Re-send if you had anything good for me (but you can keep your cheap viagra).

Ángeles y Demonios
Before I go any further I need to say right up front that I'm putting this into the very difficult category of point'n'click games. If you're looking for an easy game look away now. Ángeles y Demonios (Angels And Demons) seems to have some very cool features - on-line chat with other players, including video and audio if the pop-up I got was anything to go by, a direct link to google which always suggests a wider scope of puzzle that I enjoy, not to mention nice graphics and music, but it's all in Spanish which makes it very hard to break into. To be honest with you apart from examining all the items I didn't get any further than the screenshot above. Let me know if you fare any better [thanks Mike L].

I really enjoyed everyone's submissions for last week's musical Friday - Sigur Rós especially was a revelation [thanks gene], I'm still listening to my downloaded tracks. Anyway a slight difference this week - I want to hear the last three tracks you listened to, whatever they may be, preferably from a random shuffle of what's on your PC/Mac/iPod or whatever, but if you want to be prehistoric, the last three CDs you listened to would do at a push. As always lazylaces loyalty card points if you leave a link to some audio along with your tracks in the comments.

So what popped out first when I randomized everything accessible to winamp on my Laptop?

1. Song 2 - Blur. If you really need to go nuts, you really need this song. Perfect if you've had a really bad week.

2. Goreki - Lamb. Lamb are amongst my favourite UK bands, but they are stunningly overlooked considering the amount of material they've released and how prolifically they are used on television, film and advert soundtracks. Goreki isn't really one of my favourites, but there's no such thing as a bad Lamb track.

3. Hotel California - The Eagles. I'm not sure how ths even got on my laptop...ok I admit it, it's a classic and I love it. Damn you random play.

Now, over to you...

Vastare
I'm rather liking the chilled soundtrack of Vastare, a more traditional point'n'click game than I've been posting of late. And by traditional I mean it's in English for a change. Sorry but that's the language that I speak so it makes life easier. Oh Dear. Check out the Brit. I'm apologising for speaking my own language now. I think I better have a nice cup of tea and sit down [thanks silmarien].

Dolphin Sing-a-long
I haven't seen the new Hitchhikers' film yet, but I'm enjoying the side effects. Firstly the BBC start repeating the television series and then I discover that it's spawned Hitchhikers' flash animations. This has to be a good thing. I know it's not Friday yet, but you have to sing-a-long and say "so long and thanks for all the fish" [via op-pop].
