Remember kids, smoking kills [subbed by ace the inhaler].

Old Skool Skating
A video of some skateboard action. Old Skool. I loved this.

Gina Lash And The Temple Of Swirls
Maybe it's just the way my mind works but Gina Lash And The Temple Of Swirls was almost entirely not what I was expecting from the name - it's not some bizarre dominatrix web site, but is actually a kids point'n'click game [thanks anon].

Scooby Doo And The Creepy Cave
It's creepy but it still might be suitable for the kids' holidays (not to mention childish adults like me). Scooby Doo And The Creepy Cave shuns point'n'clickery for the good ol' cursor keys, but it's the same sort of game, and what's more it's guaranteed to have me doing bad Scooby impressions all day [subbed by koko].

Bomb Defusal
As if Monday morning wasn't tricky enough on it's own, now you have the challenge of defusing a bomb to spice things up a bit more in this point'n'click game. Since our coffee machine in the office is broken I don't stand a chance as I won't be waking up until sometime half way through the afternoon, but I wish you all good luck [subbed by hewitt].

Grow RPG
Semi point'n'click game, semi RPG, but Grow RPG definitely gets included here before the whole world posts it to me as a suggestion - thanks everyone.

Fisherman Sam
I was trying to post a game suitable for the kids summer holidays with fisherman sam, but on reflection I'm not sure how suitable a game where you spear as many fish to death as possible is for kids.

Lazy Google
In the week where I got all chuffed with myself because I managed to acquire a google mousemat (from a very special source), I was blown out of the water by ritilan who managed to acquire a job there, however I can console myself with the Lazy Google logo, generated with the logogle google logo generator. I'm still jealous though. Lucky b**tard.

Famliy Guy : Take On Me
Excellent clip of Chris from Family Guy falling into the Aha - Take On Me video (you know the one with the animated pencil drawings). Just one thing though. Can anyone tell me how I can get a screen grab of a Windows Media File? I'd love to illustrate this clip, but I still haven't found out how, or even if it is a possible to, get a screenshot of these files playing. <PrtSrc> just doesn't work, and I've tried a couple of screenshot programs but nothing seems to get them. I know there must be a way, but what is it?

Update: Thanks to Brent for the top tip on the screenshot software and sample pictures.

Dr Dingle's Laboratory
Is Dr Dingle's Laboratory a good point'n'click game? I'm not sure. To be honest I'm running short of time, and I'm not even at a PC with any graphics software to get you a decent screen grab, so I'm going to leave it down to you decide, and I can find out what you think when I'm back at my PC and can grab a pic [thanks jackie].

Update: Now with added picture! I'm also getting the idea from the comments that posting more 'kids' games would be a good idea during the summer break.

Open Source BeerA beer created by Danish students is the first beer created under a creative commons licence, meaning it's free to be brewed by one and all. A neat and generous idea, but lord knows what it tastes like. Time to convert the spare bedrooom of chez laylaces into a brewery (not a very large change some would say - I'm looking at you Jules) to find out I think [thanks paul].

The Wand House
Ok - let's move it up several point'n'click gears, and try The Wand House. Now where did I put that Japanese-English dictionary? [thanks vennie].
