Sanpo (I think that's the right name for this game - although I like the site name - "A Day Of Rest") has very nice graphics and I'm loving the point'n'click gameplay, but for those of you bothered by the whole language thing, I warn you now this is a Japanese game. Not that it bothers me, and I'm really getting into this one, I don't think you really need to know the language to enjoy it. The idea of the game, as far as I've been able to establish, is to "escape into the house", but just looking at the beautiful graphics is quite good fun too [subbed by winniethepooh].
Cybee's Adventure might look like a little point'n'click game, but your goal in the game is to save the universe from destruction. It doesn't come much bigger than that [subbed by Sophie].
point'n'click games I'm sure you know motas. If you don't - play it now, I couldn't tell you what the first point'n'click game was, but motas has been around for a long time, and been the inspiration for many games that have followed either directly or indirectly. Anyway there is now a motas editor so you make your own motas clone! As I'm a busy guy I haven't had time to try it out yet, but I'm intrigued, there's even a demo clone by albartus which I guess makes it the official Motas II! [subbed by Sophie]
let us know, and in the meantime try our random game selecta as an alternative. My Ages thirty-one... oh er, I mean "My Ages" is a point'n'click adventure with some strong Myst like influences [subbed by Sophie].
Dragon Mountain is a simplistic point'n'click adventure, but given the general lego theme I'm guessing it was made for kids, it has some fun little mini games in it though that will keep you diverted for a few minutes [subbed by winniethepooh].
The Maze without touching the sides? Level one is easy, level two isn't much harder, I don't think any off you will get passed level three for reasons that will become apparent when you play (with the sound up).... [subbed by Bee]. Warning: Those of you with a weak heart are advised to give this one a miss.
Puzzled 4 is the final game in the Puzzled point'n'click series so we'll just have to find some other rooms to escape from. Catch up on the older games here [subbed by f00].
let us know, and in the meantime try our random game selecta as an alternative. The Hook-Up isn't really a point'n'click adventure, although there is lots of pointing and clicking, and indeed, adventuring too, but if you think "The Sims" you'll have a far better idea of where this game is coming from. Not everybody's cup of tea, but I think some of you will like it [subbed by Lisa].
Just to let you know I've made a couple of minor site updates. Firstly I've now added a "Permalink" feature to the site comments (just click on the faint number in the top right of the comment). This lets you either link to a specific comment from another web-site, helps you move around the page (bit of an unforseen feature this one), and also allows you to hold your place on a comment thread if you are constantly refreshing comments, on a game for example, and want to see what's happened since you last viewed the page. Hopefully this feature will be useful - it came from a question Eva-Marie had, and I certainly think she'll find it useful. Secondly I've updated the mobile web pages, the style has changed slightly, and look more like how you would see the pages on a mobile phone when viewed from a regular web browser. Also I've added an icon link from the regular pages to the mobile site. That's it for now. I do however have a 'to do' list for the site, which may you be interested in, want to comment on, or have suggestions of your own. In no particular order the 'to do' list reads:
- Create a custom 404 page.
- Create a custom Database Error Page for when things go horribly wrong. Damn you MSAccess.
- Consider moving database to MS SQL Server or MYSQL (both have size, and potential cost issues - MSAccess is at least free, at any size, with my web host).
- Create a "blast from the past" feature, that puts an older post on the homepage periodically.
- Add Articles, and article specific comment threads, to the mobile site.
- Add a "Vote On This Post" feature, which will let me do a dynamically generated "Top Ten Games Hit Parade".
Cannibalon Carnage is a stunningly easy point'n'click adventure (I accidently completed it whilst I trying to decide upon a screenshot), but I love Futurama so it's nice to play. The only game easier is part 2 which pretty much gives up on the pretence of being a point'n'click adventure at all [via flash gamez].
Hellgate Escape, a point'n'click adventure filled with blood and gore. Look away now if you are a child, at work (although being there on a weekend is probably a greater horror), or if you are a big scaredy cat [subbed by brian].
Escape The Spooky Room under "games", but I'm thinking it's a point'n'click joke. Either that, or I'm very bad at it. Start the game, and wait for it... wait for it... wait for it... there it is [subbed by lc].
