Lady In RedI can't resist insane flash animation especially if it invloves kittens. Also features puppies from the Japanese fisheye puppy site which is worth a look in it's own right. Animation by Phil Price.

Your fridge is half empty but you want to cook something tasty? Try cooking by numbers - select the items you do have and it'll tell you what you can cook. Genius idea but it couldn't cope with my fridge contents - one pack out of date bacon and a bottle of champagne (courtesy of Jules). The best it could manage was bacon surprise - I guess I could drink the champagne to the numb the pain from whatever I come down with from eating the aging bacon.

An experiment in collective recognition - Random Access Memory is somewhere to put all those random memories you want to hang on to and to read those of others. You can browse by date, name, or subject - my favourite thing though is to just refresh the homepage once in a while - the featured memory changes every 30 secs or so and this adds more random-ness to the whole experience : sad follows happy follows angry follows surreal. It's difficult to stop hanging on to read the next memory.

Tony And George
It's touching when world leaders hell-bent on war take time out to sing a beautiful duet [4.5Mb]. Who knew Tony had such a beautiful singing voice? Clip hosted at Dagbladat which as far as I can make out is a Norweigian news site.

Snowcrash NetsurferFrom Sweden the Snowcrash Netsurfer is the ultimate in comfort for those prolonged web surfing sessions - Ikea this is not. The phrase in the blurb - "Pillows support the neck and lower back" - sounds particularly good and almost sells the product on it's own. One of these at work would be just great altough I'm thinking it'll wouldn't look nearly as good will my Dell racked up as it does with the Mac.

StatosA very very tiring week this week - so much so that I fell asleep before I could post anything yesterday - I woke up at midnight with the TV blaring at me while I was slumped accross the sofa. I always find this kind of experience very dis-orientating - I was reasonably convinced it was morning and I had to go to work when I woke up. Very nice to find I had another 6 hours of sleep to go though.

Work news this week was I finally made it into the Lloyds buliding to see a client - although I must have stayed for all of half an hour as I was only there to take a system backup. The building is very impressive - the trading floor particularly so - I don't think I've ever seen so many people in one place being so busy. They have to be from what I hear - extended lunches and early home times all round. Allthough I suspect an element of jealousy from my source on this one.

Finally - this site - not only have Brinkster switched on my access to the raw IIS log files - they've also updated the logging options to include referrers when I asked - which means I can do all my own site stats now. It's a very sad fact but this make me very happy - I love all that webmastery stuff. I'm using Analog and QuickDNS to produce the reports as per my original notes from ages ago when I did this commercially.

Lonely SocksWhere do all those socks that get lost in the wash go to? Well all the lonely ones that get left behind are posted at lonely socks. Are you a single sock that ran away from home after a particularly bad tumble drying experience - then find your lost sole (pun intended) mate here. It's sites like this that shore up my assertion that you can find EVERYTHING on the internet.
