On-line graffitti fun in 8 letters or less with the Graffiti Creator.
Update: After being off-line for a while the Graffiti Creator is back and there's also a new version available.
An new online image resource of English history provided by English Heritage
. Just a quick browse through revealed some real gems - including this view of Southwark Bridge
just round the corner from where I work - all those horses and carts blocking up the road - they need to implement some kind of congestion charge. Which reminds me - I thought all the pictures were going to be old but I also found a picture of Ken's Palace
so they must come pretty much right up to date.
Finally while I'm looking at historical stuff for London I also found this nice interactive map of London based on a map from 1827. I managed to find the building where my office now is despite the fact that Southwark seems to have radically changed. Southwark Street one of my biggest landmarks didn't even exist at the time and I had to use all the streets that are now back alleys and side roads to locate the building.
I don't know what the deal is with me and all this historical stuff btw. Perhaps it's because my Mum and Dad have started to get me interested with their research into our family tree. More on this soon - especially if I figure out a way to get it online.
Unintentionally I seem to be developing a cool site of the week theme. Anyway whatever. This week's cool site is 777Run
where Flash meets insanity. My favourite part is the mouse over action on the school buses - they burst into flame. I think I need help.
Cute little flash game - see how high you can swing. My top tip is to start the game with the mouse button pressed otherwise it's all over rather quickly. Then it's a matter of raising your legs by clicking and holding down the mouse button on each forward swing. I thought I was doing rather well but once again the leader board suggested otherwise.
Not the most useful lookup tool ever but still quite neat - find the geographical location of any IP address. Apparently the lazy laces server is in Texas which I never knew. The most useful IP/DNS lookups I have found are those provided by DNSStuff
which I use all the time.
Superb soundboard featuring the dark one himself. By coincidence I've rented Episode 2 today so it's definately a Star Wars themed day this hungover Saturday.

Computer mods bling bling stylee. With the addition of light rope and lexan any PC can get that all important bling bling factor...
Another RPG today - this time it's a demo of a games engine written in Flash MX. Tactics Core
looks superb and plays well. Can't wait to see beyond the demo - this promises a lot - although I am truely a bad gamer.
is truely awsome and very immersive. The only down side is that there is no sound - normally a big stumbling block - but the gameplay more than makes up for this.
