This Lazylaces Musical Friday is one for exposing guilty pleasures (that's guilty musical pleasures before you get carried away...). First up a ridiculous song from Tenacious D, that I love to rock out to, perfect for a Friday, including the classic line: "this is not the greatest song in the world, this is just a tribute". Oh yes. Let's rock. Skip to 3:29 for my favourite morsel from this one. Now it's time to share what you are listening to (but shouldn't be)...
Mobai Room: Another Room before under a different name? Something seems eerily familiar about it (I mean other than the obvious point'n'click room escaping thing), but at the same time I think it might be new. I don't know, I think I need my coffee, I knew posting before coffee was a mistake. Anyway we all enjoy escaping a room so have a go even it's not a new one for you. The code at the beginning is 7621 by the way - I'm not sure how winniethepooh knew this though. Time for my coffee I think... [subbed by winniethepooh].
Barcode Bedlam is a silly, but fun, adver-viral arcade game in which you try to scan items as quickly and accurately possible with your barcode reader (it's promoting barcode readers obviously). Anyway, this is one of the more random things I have had submitted but I have included anyway it as it reminded me of the happy times I once spend in a summer job electronically stock checking books at Waterstones while I was at University. I scanned the most books... *joy* [subbed by William].
Island Escape your plane has crashed on a tropical island and you and the other passengers are lost (no, not that kind of lost). You must find a point'n'click way to get off the island [subbed by Stewart].

Escape From The Room Of Rainbow from the game's title (durrrr) fortunately the gut reaction of any point'n'click player is to escape from any given room they might be in. So that's sorted. Only trouble is there doesn't seem to be much to click... [subbed by Lisa, Ross, carm & Stacey].
The First Door" series has proved immensely popular (and some would say immensely difficult) with puzzle fans so those of you who have to buy your hats in extra large to keep your over-sized brains warm will be pleased to hear that the next in the series, The Locked Box, is out soon. I'm sure another cryptic note will arrive in my inbox when it actually starts so I'll let you know more when I can [subbed by The First Door & Allegra~WickedFanOne].
Aunts And Butlers is a text based adventure (old skool), not my normal kind of thing at all, but the name got me interested and once you start playing it's rather a spiffing (that's me getting in character) adventure. The commands are all very logical (look, go, etc.) and you can die in various, and amusing, ways, but just type "Undo" and you're all set to continue. Your task, should you choose to accept it, is to get rich Aunt Cedilla to write you into her will...
Dressing for dinner! It's pretty good dressing, to be fair, but you do wish you had a bit of salad to go with it, and one or two more courses. Alas, you've been a mite strapped for cash lately and it's been a tricky thing keeping the old wolf from the old door. This is why it's so important for you, the Hon. Ampersand Fodge, to be on extra-top, supra-gentlemanly form when dear old Aunt Cedilla - dear old un-inherited Aunt Cedilla - arrives, wretched poodle Gladstone in tow; and why it's so thick that all you've got to wine and/or dine the old plague with is a bottle of balsamic vinaigrette. Perhaps you'd better not ask her to stay for supper after all. There is a knock at your front door. You absent-mindedly down the vinaigrette, and wipe your mouth on your cuff.[subbed by Sade].
Vision Museum is the latest point'n'click game from the Gotmail Crew, released hot on the heels of The Scrapper. This would normally be excellent news all round, but the load times on this one are enormous (that's if it doesn't crash part way thru like it did for me a million times), and are a sour note on what is otherwise an excellent game once you finally get going. Anyway if you have a bag of patience and something time consuming to do while it loads give it a go [subbed by Michael Merry, carm, chuck, MsInterpret, Mantari, Oo, U2isdebest, Ross & Ray]. UPDATE: Use http://game3.gotmail.jp/VisionMuseum/ for faster loading [thanks Mantari].
