Launchball you have a guide a ball through a block based screen, with each kind of block having different effects on the ball, by placing various devices into the mix to force the ball along the correct path. It sounds (in my very tortured description) like an arcade meets logic style game, but because this game is from the London Science Museum, and the game is all very scientific, this actually is educational and you're learning science stuff as you play.... but good luck explaining that to your tutor/spouse/boss/parents, that you're "expanding your mind", rather than "wasting time", as you play... oops... did I say "play", I meant "learn", obviously. And be sure to mention that I'm just filing this under "games" as I don't have a "science" section [subbed by Toby].
James The Zebra arcade gamery as James heads down to the seashore for "James The Beach Zebra", with a collection of different beach games all explained in the always amusing intro (don't skip it) [subbed by Nick S The Hamster].
[ Vision ] is a classy escape the room game with fine puzzles to hurt the head, and graphics to please the eye. The only problem at the moment is that it's a bit too popular for it's own good. It took me 5 attempts to get the game to load, rather than a service unavailable message, but if you persist you should get to play eventually [subbed by Mystery, Mantari, chacha, Martha Corgan & Michel].
Flight Of The Hamsters, you are such a silly, silly, silly game, and yet I can't resist "one more go" for what must be the millionth time. The aim of the game is to launch the hamsters (sorry Nick) as far as possible, with various power-ups and collectibles making extreme distances possible once you have timed the launch just right. Make sure that you turn your speakers up though, sound isn't essential to play, but it's the soundtrack that really "makes" this game [subbed by quenkit].
World Golf Tour provides a relatively simplistic "closest to the hole" tee-off challenge, and looks just superb in the process, making it somewhat addicting, and a nice game to play over your coffee break [subbed by graeme].
S-Kape gives you a whole house of slightly strange, but lovingly rendered, rooms for you to point'n'click your way out of... *joy* [subbed by kelly, Theidiotcircusboy & Nicop].
Dream Escape mixes some art and surrealism into the much loved escape the room format [subbed by chacha].
10 Gnomes is a game made to celebrate the start of February's famous Gnome hunting season, so you better load up your gnome gun, go out into the garden, and release the gnome hounds... erm... well it's either that, or it's a finely crafted point'n'click photo examining game in which you must find the ten hidden gnomes within ten minutes. Happy hunting [subbed and created by Murtaugh]. Note: No gnomes were harmed in the writing of this post.
I Forgot How To Get Out Of My Office! (as if that's ever going to happen) it's a nice escape the room game with some stylishly clean graphics and sound effects [subbed by Lain].
Escape The Lab is a game that lets us explore the "science" of the escape the room genre... *ouch*. Believe me, I think it hurt me more to write that pun than it did for you to read it... [subbed by chacha].
Never Ending Level Game is kind of a puzzle game meets point'n'click ('n'drag) test. Use the clues on each screen to advance to the next level. Currently, there are 150 levels, so it's not totally never ending, but I think more will be added, and anyway, you'll probably get stuck long before then as it gets harder and harder as you progress [subbed by CaptPicard & Cruzinn]. UPDATE: Link updated after the original broke.
Pancakes! is a platform game whose background looks somewhat like a crossword puzzle, but that's where the similarity with intellectual word games starts and ends. The game has an insane soundtrack as you jump around the screen collecting pancakes, waffles and muffins (all the cornerstones of a good healthy breakfast) and avoiding or destroying lard robots. It is, to say the least, slightly mad. Use the Cursor keys to move, [SPACE] to jump, [CTRL] to shoot. Have a great Pancake Day everyone [subbed and created by Nick S The Hamster].
