Drew Darko
I put Drew Barrymore in at number 3 in my top 3 candidates for Mrs Lazylaces a while back but I've now finally seen Donnie Darko. Firstly let me say all the hype and tributes I've seen for the film were well deserved. Deliciously entertaining and creepy. What is more Miss Barrymore is almost more appealing than she was in The Wedding Singer whch I didn't think was possible. I think that means Minnie has been bumped off the number 2 spot (still a lot of work to do to catch Fiona).

Yet another quizilla quiz but how could I resist when the challenge was "Which Homestar Runner character are you?". And which was I, I hear you ask. Strong Bad's sidekick The Cheat of course. I feel very Cheat-esque now.

The UK saw the start of winter at the weekend as the clocks went back an hour and moved from British Summer Time (BST) back to good old GMT. I have a new definition of the start of winter though - it's the first morning you are glad when you walk out of the door to see that it is raining, as it means you don't have to scrape the ice off your windscreen. Only the British winter could provide me with such a low high point. Anyway this morning was that morning so it is now officially winter in lazylaces land.

Man aims, and suceeds, to shower with 100 women in a year. I know what you are thinking. Not "why didn't I think of that", but "he must be very clean". I did recently complete my own mini project which I'll write up for the site soon, hopefully as a mini-meme. Unfortunately mine didn't involve women or nudity. Doh!

You can win at Pac-Man if you know the game's patterns which can then help you make friends and influence people. It's then a short step to taking over the planet and your dreams of world domination will be within your grasp. This handy guide shows you the Pac-Man patterns to start you off. The rest is down to you.

In my short but very enjoyable ownership of a Dreamcast a few years back my favourite game was the surreal Shenmue. It provided me with my favourite gaming moment ever - standing waiting for a bus for five minutes. You really start to question what your doing once you've been stood at a simulated bus stop for a while.

Anyway Mega 64 have gone one better and re-enacted the game in real life. The simulated becomes simulee - or something. My only regret is they don't do the bus waiting but all the bizarre interegative conversations are there including the mildly worrying "do you know where I can find some sailors?". Superb - although the people asked don't sound nearly as worried as I would be [NB. A knowledge of Shenmue is really required to apprecate this 25Mb download].
