Feck! Girls! Drink!
Video clips from Father Ted, one of the best UK/Irish television programs ever. Pictured is the one where they protest against the immoral film: careful now, down with this sort of thing!

Gory Peguin Vrs.Yeti
A while back I linked to the penguin vrs. yeti game which, even this early, I think is a strong contender for the Internet game of the year. Anyway I keep getting loads of referrals for "gory yeti penguin" which I thought was odd, as while not especially kind to penguins, the game didn't seem that gory. A little hunting around though produced this - the super blood thirsty gory version with extra added spikes and landmines. Thumbs up to flabber for the hosting. I hope this satisfies the blood lust of all you gore-searching types. I myself managed a very nice score of over 1200 with good use of the landmines.

By collecting flocks of pigeons in dense clusters, Google is able to process search queries at speeds superior to traditional search engines, which typically rely on birds of prey, brooding hens or slow-moving waterfowl to do their relevance rankings...

I can't believe I hadn't seen this before, many thanks to new boy Adam at work for enlightening me. I did actually LOL.

The Splutterfish gallery is, technically, a showcase for the Brazil rendering system, but it also makes for a rather fine selection of desktop wallpapers. "Can't rain all the time" (pictured) was my wallpaper up until recently.

Sidenote: for reasons unknown even to myself, this and the rest of today's links are all pictorial. I could make up some nonsense about brightening up a Monday, but it's much more random than that.

You know the drill now. On-line adventure game. Point'n'click a lot, collect the objects, escape the room...need I go on? Seriously though this looks like a good one if you can handle any more of this type of game [big linky thanks to nexus].
