is just about my favourite general news source. You can really feel like you've got your finger on the nation's pulse when you can see at a glance that the news article you are reading was only posted 5 minutes ago. It's also nice to be able to get different spins on the same story, by reading more than one sources' version of events. So combined with my general love of all things flash
couldn't really fail with it's flash interface to google news. Now you can see at a glance what today's BIG stories are.
A guide to manually changing
your WinXP boot screen. I haven't tried it yet, but I've considered it many a time, given how often I have to see the damn thing. I'll post my results if I give it a go. I'm interested to hear your experiences if you try it out first.
If you have a taste for spam (yum!) you'll be pleased to know that there are 1,300,925,111,156,286,160,896
spelling variations of "viagra". That should keep your filtering software busy...
Sorry this is so late in posting (hiatus, blah, blah, blah...), but weren't you disorientated the other week when google (subtly) changed their stylesheet? The whole day didn't feel quite right for me. Anyway we weren't the only ones
PS. Once I had a day or two to get used to it I realised I much prefer the new version. It seems much cleaner (surprising that this was possible!). I was very used to the old version though, and the unannounced change was a bit of a shock.
The "physics" of traffic jams
. This is for all you car commuters, but especially for my ex who used to like to explain this at length everytime we were in remotely busy traffic on a motorway.
Hot on the heels of finding the gadgetry loveliness of engadget
the other day, I now have more daily gadget news to peruse with the red ferret
. Oh, ambassador, with all these gadgets you are really spoiling us!
Meanwhile irl I've increased my gadgetry quotient by upgrading my moby to the Nokia 6610. Yes I'm playing Bounce 24/7 and Magnum PI is my (polyphonic) ringtone. *joy*.
While you're sitting around waiting for me to get enough time to post some new stuff why not convert your monitor into a facial tanning device, and catch some rays, with SunnySite
? Works just as well on LCD monitors as it does on CRT! Isn't technology great? [Warning
: larger screen resolutions may increase tanning speed. Dual monitors not advised].
Jobs are on offer at Google's planned moonbase openning in 2007 (hurrah! for April Fools Day).

Google in 36,795 bound volumes
