Never-Ending Riddle
Currently the Never-Ending Riddle doesn't quite live up to it's name as there are only 5 levels (including the root), but the idea is that the puzzle grows daily with players puzzle submissions - so why not pop over and see if you can solve the exisiting levels, then put your thinking hat firmly on your head and come up with your own new level? Quite a cool idea if it takes off [subbed and created by MikeJ].

try blind typing the wrong way, and make it so that the { becomes a translatable character or so...

hope that helps

I figured that the "<" either side of qwertyuiop was a backwards clue but it still makes no sense. I also figured out immediately that it was a nonogram since the title contains the subtle clue word "nonogram"!!!!!

The only other thing I know for sure is that S has to be 4 or less in the substitution otherwise line 8 of the nonogram doesn't work.

Sorry Draghkar but your clue still leaves me clueless. 8^S

hmmm

read the < as a <-

does that help?

No, that's what I meant. I already get that "<" means a backwards arrow but not how to substitute the letters for numbers. I assume you're suggesting that
SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
P=0, O=9, I=8, etc. but that doesn't explain { or how to keep S=4 or less.
but thanks for introducing me to nonograms. :D

Hey guys, I've been working my way through the trail, but I'm stuck on level 12 (End What You Halfway Started With):

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
I've turned the morse into binary, and then tried converting binary to text, except I can only manage to get garbage out of the translator:
"Py aquvt da klgc Ub vexwqg dvus Py rproe v blh A rzlwema fuahx"

Have I done something wrong, or is there more I have to do?

I appreciate any help you guys can give

We are having trouble with number 8 (Spoiled ROTten). Please read if you can help:
SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
We know the LCD is 7, we have been learning about the ROT cipher and the concept of MODs, but are a bit confused about how to use them. Are we looking for words based on all these numbers? Even the spoiler above has not helped.

Comment 163, Wednesday, December 14th 2005 07:08:00 AM

Sabrina:

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)

ROT does not take numbers, so see if you can convert them to letters. Other than that. with 7 you are close, but not entirely. Try again but think bigger. Other than giving you the answer i can not help you :-S Sorry.

we are stuck on 10. please help:
SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
we figured they were coordinates and found a mapquest site where we could enter them. All we got were oceans (Indian, Arctic, Atlantic) a few seas, a few African and Middle Eastern countries, and one in Greenland. Are we at all on the right track and where on earth do we go from here, no pun intended. Oh, and we saw the "go great hole" reference in the source. We googled that and got a physics book.</spoiler)

Hey all, me again...I made it to level 14 - Hook line and stinker. Having a few issues...

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
First I looked at the source and saw the coordinates...a bunch of mumbo jumbo to me. I guessed you have to click somewhere on the fish. I have systematically tried every part of the fish to no avail. At one point I even got it to show semi outlines of each section, but that disappeared. Then I looked on Lazy Laces and saw the comment that someone got it using a spreadsheet graphing function. I wouldn't know how to use that if my life depended on it. Any advice?

Merry Christmas! Happy Hanukkah!

Comment 170, Sunday, December 25th 2005 11:19:00 PM

Draghkar

:
Sabrina,

See if you can finsd each individual outline and take a piece of paper and try to draw them all on the paper.. see if it gives you something.

Hello all,

I am stuck on level 8. I have an idea but then again I don't know what I am exactly looking for in this one. I have noticed the Spoiled ROTten and don't know how to apply that to the numbers shown.

Comment 175, Wednesday, January 11th 2006 01:37:00 PM

Hey Ganzu,

You need to think about what there is in common with all those numbers, and how to translate them to letters

hope that helps,

Hi all, I know I'm late to the party but i'm stuck on 15, the one with the punchcard. I've found the hidden text, but I, not being a computer programmer neither now nor in 1974, still have no idea how to read it.

And Google has not been my friend with this one.

Anyone who could point me in the direction of a website that can show show me how to read this crazy thing would earn my gratitude and possibly a fruit pie.
