The Big House
The Big House is a point'n'click game that features a house and... um.... it's big. I'd love to be able to tell you more, like what the point of the game is, but I'm really not sure - I managed to go outside very easily and the game didn't end, so I'm guessing it's not "escape the house". The locked door on the second floor is quite tantalizing, I managed to find a key, but it did not open the door, perhaps the "point" of the game is behind the door. Anyway aside from the fact that I never worked out the objective of the game, and I got a bit dizzy going in and out of doors and turning around all the time, the game has some nice graphics and lighting the fire is quite satisfying [subbed by frustrated, SolitaryRaven, oxyacetylene & winniethepooh].

You only have to knock on each part of the door once.. The numbers that Guestname had on the walk through was just the order... You only have to knock on each part once...just... once.

I am amazed at the problems people are having with this upstairs main door! I think someone posted a "spoiler" above that's misleading people, because it's really simple:

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
You have to click four times, on four different panels to open the upstairs door. There are five panels in all. You will click the middle panel, then the lower left panel, then the upper right panel, and finally the lower right panel...and that's it. Four clicks IN THAT ORDER and the door should be opened. If it's still not working all I can suggest is going downstairs and cleaning the bathroom mirror (the bathroom next to the kitchen) with the sponge you got when plunging the bathtub full of water. Maybe seeing the clue will make it clearer.

Hope that helps.

Has anyone else noticed the pointer is giving us the bird? Maybe the point of the game is to have no point while the author flips us off the entire way!

Keys and matches and even a toilet plunger, okay. But whenever I personally am trapped in a trendily furnished house, there generally isn't room in the ol' inventory knapsack to store random furniture. Having that chair in the inventory cracked me up for some reason.

Then again, my beloved King's Quest games had me storing even more improbable items in my inventory. Can't wait for the 9th fan-created game....
