The American version of The Office is one of the few times we've taken one of your comedies and, if not improved on it, made it our own. The writing and the cast are awesome!

Have to disagree Jhlipton.
Both versions are good and Steve Carrel does a great job in the American version, but no one can do cringeworthy like Ricky Gervais does when he is in the character of David Brent.
The American version seems to be more polished, and is turning into a sitcom, which originally the Office wasn't meant to be.
I can watch the US version if I view it as a different show, and not compare it to the original, and in doing this, I can enjoy the show, but The UK version will always be the best for me :o)
