:after i click on the secret panel by the gate, its says the gate is open but how do i get through.

there is a panel on the left (hidden) you may need to click it twice. once done click the left mask.

:@ Ben - yes, I did look through the telescope, and saw the pirate waving at the panel. I clicked on the lever, and it says: the gate is open. I also clicked on the left mask (after clicking everywhere else), but I can't get through the gate.
Is it possible that because I first clicked somewhere else on the gate instead of the left mask that I am no longer able to get through the gate?

:Oh... and the panel is not on the left but on the right of the gate. ;)

:i just did it again once you press the panel twice then the mask moves click the mask and you can move in

:I pressed the panel twice, and clicked the mask, but I can't get through the gate. Perhaps I clicked somewhere else first before clicking on the mask, and that's why I can't open the gate. However, it keeps telling me that the gate is already open, but there is no arrow that would allow me to go forward. *sigh* Might as well start again.

:OK, I started the game again, and this time clicked on the left mask after clicking on the panel (only needed to click once on the panel), and the gate opened.
I think it doesn't work if you first click on another part of the gate.

:I can't open the gate either. It's telling me the gate is open but it won't let me through. May be a bug? I'm using Safari.. maybe something to do with that?

:@ Bette - after clicking on the panel, don't click on anything except the left mask, otherwise it won't work.
Anyway, I finished the game, and got 125 points out of 125, thanks to Ben's walkthrough. :)

To get through the gate:
SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
* Look through telescope on small island if you haven't already and observe what happens. You'll only see something the first time you do this. I don't know if you need to do this before you can do the following, but it makes sense that you should have to.
* Use wall to right of gate - a panel and lever are revealed.
* Use lever.
* Use left-hand mask on gate.

Hellek28 - a rod is a fishing rod, a stick and a line that you use to catch fish.

Oo your trying to dislodge the boulder from the bottom you need to move it from above

use the coconut on the last pirate so he falls down then use either the sword you get from the guard downstairs or the captains sword and finish him off

:To everybody stuck at the gate, sorry you need to restart. theres a glitch in the game. if you open the thing for the lever then close it without touching the left mask thing, theres no possible way to get in. Sorry.

:Nicely done. I ended up with a score of 128, due to one little glitch, but a great, logical p'n'c adventure. The only thing missing is the possibility of losing.getting trapped - Ha, I'm sure that if there were many ways to die/get trapped, I'd be complaining.... For example, if you're not quick enough, or have the proper item(s) in the final room, then you will lose (I suspect - I did not go back to see if I'm right).
All in all, a good game.

Is it just me or is this very similar to an old old computer game series called Kings Quest.
I know not many of you will have heard of it.
