Desktop Tower Defence
As little creeps invade your desktop you must quickly scribble some defences to stop them reaching the other side in Desktop Tower Defence - a little shoot em up arcade game that's been around for a while now, but is still very addicting [subbed by f00, Lexi & Regina].

This game is the most boring game ever. Ive played it before. All you do is put down towers and the game does the rest.

I have several patterns I'm using for the early stages, but I tend to get overwhelmed by the flying idiots later on, when I'm trying too hard to upgrade a few towers to keep the other things down. Mazes work great.

@ Mle
SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
The dark ones can be damaged by the squirt towers with at least 3 upgrades. If you use the pellet guns to line them through a maze, you can strategically place a few squirt towers to kill them.

@ Net Mom
SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
To kill the flying triangles...use the swarm towers with minimum 2 upgrades. I've found that 2 in the very center, (offset by 1 square), plus 1 or 2 at each end will kill the first 2 waves completely on the Medium level.

@ Smurf78: To buy upgrades, click on the weapon you want to upgrade and the box opens that details that weapon. On the bottom right is the button to upgrade. It shows you how much the upgrade costs. If you do not have enough money, you cannot buy the upgrade. You get money for every enemy you destroy.

HINT: (click box to highlight/fade)
You have to max out the upgrades (5) in just a few very strategically placed towers in order to advance. Otherwise, they send many more enemies and you can't do enough damage.

Great game - very addicting.

I've found that for the initial stages, the best strategy is to put up about 6 consecutive pellet towers at each entrance forcing the creeps along a fixed path, then just keep upgrading the pellet towers... this works for the first +-15 levels, then you need to put in some squirt towers and some dart towers... the 'dark' are easily killed by the upgraded pellet towers...

I sent in Tower Defence to Graeme some time ago, but it never got put onto LazyLaces. I think it's a fantastic game and very addictive.

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
NOTE: It's "addictive", not "addicting". :-D

Anyway, the game is trial-and-error in finding the best place to place your weapons, which weapons to use, and how and when to upgrade. And with this one, using the maze strategy mentioned above certainly helps. I'm going to try not using the cheap pellet tower and move straight on to the squirt tower to see if that is any better.

How about posting up some scores, people. I've just scored 4125, but unfortunately it doesn't say which level I was on. I'm sure I can do even better with more practice

:
Well, that strategy of going straight to the squirt tower didn't work... didn't have enough money to place enough towers to kill the early creeps. Back to the drawing board.

@ Mio... Try my strategy (posted above) I always get to the last/2nd last level on Medium Difficulty...

try do something like this(where 'p' is a pellet' tower an '| |' are the entrances)

| |
p
p
p p
p
_ p p
p
p
_p

Then just upgrade the pellet towers
A pellet tower with an Upgrade of 5 has a massive range and is kills creeps with a point rating of 7 with just one shot.... after about 15-20 levels, you need to start including squirt towers etc....

Really fun game :)

"P" = Pellet Tower
"| |" = Entrances
"." = spaces

.........................p
...........P..........p
....
...............p
..............p...P
