Rubix Cube
Back in the early 80's when free flash games delivered over the internet weren't even a pipe dream, let alone a reality, everybody started playing with a colourful puzzle cube to give them something to do to waste their time whilst they waited for internet to be invented so they could become point and click game addicts. And now things have come full circle and become all joined up as you can now play Rubix Cube for free on-line and do a lot of pointing and clicking into the bargain. And what is more by using the spacemen icons (no, I have no idea why they are spacemen) you can even get it to auto mix, auto solve and even make some pretty patterns which is the up-to-date version of the thing driving you nuts and you disassembling the thing and then putting it back together. Not that I ever did that, no siree, not me, no way [via No1. Game].

I wish it could explain to you how you're supposed to do it! I lack the Rubik gene.

I usually can manage to get two full layers on the real cube, but this is more complicated since you can quickly overlook where the squares are.

You worked too hard, Graeme. I just took the labels off, colour co-ordinated them and stuck them back on. Saved a lot of time.

Just for historical accuracy, Rubik's Cube hit the market in the late seventies, not the eighties. It still stands as one of the best handheld puzzles ever invented.

Walkthrough:

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
Use screwdriver that you have many little pieces and put them back together in the right order.
OR Remove all those coloured stickers and put them back in the right order (first one is better)

How long does it normally take from you sending a game submission/e-mail for it to be responded to, cause I'm guessing this site gets inundated with e-mails but I sometimes worry things I send dont get through junk filters.

I have played this one as well. There are a ton of Java, etc. type items out there for the cube. Many are listed in MY FAVORITES! :)
