Drake's Fortune
Drake's Fortune is some kind of Google Maps vrs. point'n'click game mash-up, promoting something on the PS3, and if you're a g33k like me and treat Google Maps as some kind of game just on it's own then this adds a nice extra twist [subbed by anon].

I am really not sure what to do. I have tried looking up certain things on the map, but I don't see any way to truly interact with a location. Anyone know what it is that we are supposed to do after you get into the computer and read the emails?

Okay, I've gotten this far -

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
Computer password Drake's apartment 1588. Read the emails and you get his flight plan. Trondheim Vaernes TRD, that's the airport he's arriving at. He's going to Trondheim Norway so that's the location you have to enter in the search box.

Username for DORA1 - Nathan Drake
Password from email at first location - Armada1588 Collection name - Kraus.

Pick up the badge that says DORA 1 and click it a second time. It either sets back down on the table or disappears altogether. Click the brown page stuck in the book. Its a journal entry. Here's where it gets buggy because after I picked that up, it shot me back out of the archives and I had to go back through logging in to read a card in the book about an exhibit of Sir Drake memorabilia and such at a museum but I didn't get time to read the exact location of the museum before I got kicked back out to the picture of Trondheim and it wouldn't let me back in the archives.

Any help would be super.

The machine to the right, is some kind of infrared lense. Click it to get it on screen, then click green button to turn it on. But I've not found any use for it yet.

Stained Window

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
Find the one piece that must either go on the top, bottom or side. I think it changes every game. Its a process of elimination as to where that piece belongs on the top... or bottom... Pretty sure there is no "answer" to how to lay out this puzzle.

Yeah, You're back(for real)!!! I've been away from the computer for the last few days.

I've been cleaning my sister's house, so her and my niece could come home.(We've been working on her house for 2 weeks) We finished everything at around 6:00pm, yesterday and they got home at 6:15 or so.

I left after I was finished cleaning and didn't get to see them. I wanted to give my sis and niece some time with their family. They've been gone away from their family for 50 days. It's been a difficult time but the rewards are so worth it.

My nieces Bone Marrow transplant went great and so far no major complications have come up. I'm sooooooo glad things are going well and that they are home. I'll probably go to see them tomorrow.

Thanks for everyone's well wishes and prayers.

I think this game is buggy. At least for me, anyway. When the screen with the ID badge pops up in Norway, it immediately crashes and goes back to the map before I have time to click on it. It's happened three times now. I give up.

Any thoughts on where to go after Cadiz? I can't find any walkthroughs or hints for the online game - just the PS3 game, though it sounds like the first person who solved this game won a 7 day vacation to Mexico.

Is nobody having troubles playing the game? I try it both in IE and firefox
IE..the today clock doesn't start counting let alone saves the track of the game so it's pointless, let alone it doesn't let me finish read the note inside the book in Trondheim so I have to go through the whole stuff again. In Firefox I didn't get the opportunity to take the pass nor read the piece of paper because the screen went black except for the old note about queen elizabeth and new world etc. and I can't even read the whole note because it doesn't fit in the screen!!!! any ideas? :(

How do you figure out the bronze plaque? I don't see anything on any of the papers that might be a hint.

Comment 47, Saturday, January 26th 2008 06:39:17 PM

Stacy

:
bronze plaque.. if I remember correctly..
SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
There is a piece of paper there maybe?? and also there is one plaque with worn words.. and you have to use your kit to clean the plaque. Mix it according to the numbers on the bottom of the note. I think the ratio was 2/3 black, whole vial of orange, and 1/3 vial of the last color.

about the ship..

I see the ISBN number on the paper, and I did figure out that ISBN numbers that start with 84 are to do with Spain, but that's about all I have figured out thus far.

Thanks!

I never found a paper except Nathan's torn note. I did the vials and the game froze.
