Icescape promises "adult themes", blood and gore, the subtle subtext being that this is not a game for the kids to play. Anyway, for the rest of us the game is a frantic point'n'click investigation around an Arctic research station before our blood freezes [subbed by f00 & QuietStealth].

Comment By Beebo
anyone able to get through the locked door? I have batteries, screwdriver, tweezers, gloves, hat and mints.
Comment By Irene
I agree..I don't bother with the timed games..Can't think about what to do without thinking about the time. It's like a ticking time bomb!! I also don't play games anymore where you die, also frustrating, but thanks to our thoughtful webmaster for thinking of us.

Hey Kenny,
A little slack for Graeme. He said it would take a while to get caught up with all the point and clickers that have been posted while LazyLaces was on sabbatical. A little patience and he'll be all caught up...

WALK THROUGH
Bedroom:
Turn around (either direction). Get:
MINTS #1 on bed to the right
MINTS #2 to the left of the toolbox
CLOTHING ITEM #1 (gloves) to the right of the toolbox
Screwdriver inside toolbox.
Turn around again; move dresser underneath vent. Remove screws from vent. (You’ll go through automatically.)
Kitchen:
Get:
MINTS #3 on the very left near the door
Click on trashcan. Get:
Wire cutters inside trash
CLOTHING ITEM #2 (hat) on countertop
Turn right. Get:
MINTS #4 on the very right, on top of a barrel in front of the vent you came through
PIE #1 inside oven
Click on radio (on countertop towards the middle of the room). Get:
Batteries (turn radio over, use screwdriver)
Turn left. Click on controls next to door. Remove the plate which says “do not remove” (use screwdriver). Cut wires (use wire cutter). Put batteries between the cut wires. Go through door.
Stairwell:
Get:
MINTS #5 just in front of bottom tread
CLOTHING ITEM #3 (jacket) from hook on wall (behind the splatter that used to be the cook)
Go up one flight of stairs. Get:
MINTS #6 from middle of stairs
Go into hallway.
Hallway/secret room:
go forward. (Ceiling falls down). Get:
Pipe/crowbar above and to the right of manhole cover.
Use crowbar to break window of door on the left. Go into room. Get:
MINTS #7 on the floor on the left (in front of a box)
Tape recorder (on top of barrel at the back)
PIE #2 on the floor on the right
Go back out. Use crowbar on manhole cover. Go into manhole.
Sewer:
Get:
Wheel thingy on the right
MINTS #8 on the left
Go forward. Use wheel thingy on cover. Go through.
Computer room etc.:
Turn left, go into storage room. Get:
MINTS #9 on shelf on the left
Fuse #1 behind box on floor on the right
Go back out to computer room, go to safe. Open safe. (Instructions are on top.) Get
Fuse #2
Gun
Go right, into the generator room. Get:
MINTS #10 on the left
Fuse #3 just under fuse box.
PIE #3 on the floor to the right
Key from hooks on the left wall
Use the key to open the control boxes. Complete the puzzles.
Fuse: move the switches (click the round part) so that each fuse has a single continuous line through it, with no dead ends going off anywhere. This puzzle doesn’t change, so it’s just a matter of trying enough times.
Pressure: click the pieces along the bottom in the correct order. Work fast - you need to complete the path with enough time for steam to flow through the pipes. Keep in mind that the ice pattern needs to match, not just the pipe shape. Flip the generator switch on the wall to the right. Go back to computer room. Go to laptop in corner. Get
Annual report from right bottom drawer (close top drawer to get to it)
Look at cover of annual report for username and password. Enter information into laptop. Go right, then go into communications room.
Communications room:
Look out the window. When alien appears, shoot him.
That's it! You win!

I do understand your happieness, but wake up!! (I hope I haven't offended anyone - sorry if so)

Kenny,
You are quite insensitive I think. Not everyone sees their new beginings in life as a mere two week break and then back into the swing of things. Again the hiatus wasn't merely about a honeymoon. There's a new home, new job, new life with new people to get into the swing of things and to add to it all a new part of the world to get accustomed to. Even the difference between the US and England are quite extensive. Graeme has done quite well posting new games regularly and keeping us entertained. Poor you that he posted one that was released in the midst of his life changing. Believe it or not there are other things in this world besides PNC even for the creator of a PNC blog. Graeme is under no obligation to you or to any of us to continue posting games old or new if he decided not to. You are on a page that is put together in his free time going through extensive submissions and trying to get them all out. Your comments aren't unlike that of a child complaining that mommy and daddy didn't buy them a new toy...Guess I should use the same "out" that you did ("hope I haven't offended anyone.....")

Way to stand up for Graeme Hidden face!
Well said Hiddenfaceinthecrowd. Also Kenny, don't forget that there was a long period of time when the spammonkeys took over the site and Graeme was retooling it, at an extensive amount of time and effort I might add, to get the site back up and running properly so you and I can enjoy the games posted. I think that more than warrants some patience.

Hey Kenny,
Lay off Graeme, and I also think you need to get your facts right. Firstly, yes he did have a long honeymoon but so what, I say good for Graeme and his wife. But it was not for six months. He also warned us that he would not be able to keep up to date on here for a while.
Secondly, I think you find that two months ago there was the problems with those horrid spammonkeys.
I still think that this is the coolest site ever on the net.
Basically if you have such huge problems with how it is run, why don't you go else where.
As for offending anyone, I think I can sincerely say this for everyone, that yes you have, not just Graeme but all of us.

To all of You
I DO really wasnt't about to offend anyone, and I am very sorry if i did so, that is not about my impatience, his site, and Greame himself is OK (I don't know him in person) what I want to say is to speed up a bit becouse the site has always been let say "almost the first to release news" and now the only one slower site is gamershood :-)-or rather :-( . I do understand marriage and changing the place of living, believe me, I am 32 now and I am used to change places (maybe not countries) - and adding, I still do not want to offend any of you and to blame anyone, I do appreciate your feelings to the site, I have similar, maybe I dont know everything, just tell me how can we speed up a bit???
Again - I love the site and I am a great fan of it but all I want for lazylaces is to come back and make it the best... Tell me, am I stupid?? or maybe it would be quite good? And my only question is: HOW CAN I HELP???

Pretty Fun And Easy =)
Kenny. Seriously man. Let it go. There's nothing WE can do to help. It's simply a matter of time until Graeme gets things caught up. He's doing a pretty darn good job in my eyes. I mean, not only is he posting new stuff again, but he's still catching up with the older things that came out while the site was on hiatus. Short of Graeme reaching out to you and asking you personally to help, there's nothing you can do. Just sit back, relax, and enjoy the games as the get posted. Heck, if you see so many new games out there that haven't been posted yet, why don't you submit them to Graeme yourself? It will save him time trying to track down stuff for our enjoyment...
Comment By Irene
Yeah..well said..I went to some of the other sites and tried to play some of these games now being posted here, but it wasn't the same..You guys weren't there to help me through it. We are a community here and Graeme does this in his free time just for us. He gets nothing from it. He shares his time and games. I wouldn't do it, would you? Heck no. So let's try to be more understanding and enjoy everything that Lazy Laces has to offer us. Who are we to pressure someone who is doing something out of the kindness of his heart for us.

Before you get down using this pipe, you can use it for the left door, where you find a tape recorder. Is this the secret room? And I don`t understand a single word from the tape.

to open the safe, it is easier to drag your mouse abroad the lock itself (the circle with numbers), so you describe a larger circle than the and therefore it easier to set the needle at the right number!
Comment By Fairyhedgehog
I scored 0. The timer was racing to zero and I didn't have time to read many of the descriptions before I was dead. It's a shame, because without the timer or with a much slower one the game might be fun.

Sheesh, Kenny. Get a life.
I agree about the timer being too fast. What I really hate is that safe. Something that requires some hand-eye co-ordination is fine by me, but I really dislike this - the wheel is so sensitive that it takes a long time to get the right number and makes the game much less enjoyable
Comment By SnappleTea
To help with the safe:
SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
Pull your mouse back from the circle with the numbers on it so you're making a huge circle. I was moving the mouse around about halfway between the dial and the edge of the safe. It makes it a lot easier to get the distinctions between numbers. I know that when I was trying to maneuver within the dial itself, I would often skip over numbers and/or spazz out at the last second. Moving your cursor out helps a bunch.
Comment By Missydog
I really hate these timed games.
I figured getting all the clothing pieces would stop your body temp from falling, and picking up the curry mints would warm you up some, but they dont seem to do much of anything really.....
