We're back from vacation at the beach over a long 4th of July weekend (celebrating independence from the British!), meaning we've seen our fair share of fireworks, sunshine, bars, stars & stripes. Jen photographed me on the drive home (note how happy I am about it being the end of the vacation) wearing my fetching holiday hat. It's nice to be back, but I think I would rather still be in Seacrets sipping a Rum Runner... I am however still wearing my hat, despite being back at work, which is nice.

:Welcome back!
Cyberjar88
:Third!! You never told us you were going on vacation, Graeme...
Cyberjar88
:@Graeme: Disregard the postscript in my message to you on FB.
Ruckern1
:Welcome back from vacation! We definitely missed you. Nice hat, btw...now all you need is a large belt buckle and some cowboy boots. :-)
TJ
:WB!
Hey, he's not obligated to tell us when he's leaving! We're just the parasites who recreate off of his postings!
SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
Sometimes it's just really nice to be able to take off without notice. Especially when you're a newlywed. ;)
Kanashii
:Spiffy hat, Graeme. I expected something a little more 'patriotic' (read : gaudy piece of sparkly red white and blue headgear), though. :P
I didn't do anything this year, but I did get to watch the big local fireworks display on mah shiny new (several months old) 20" flatscreen (which was newly mounted to the wall after 5 hours of hard work and whining).
Christy
:You're looking more and more like an American, Graeme. Stop it. :) I bet if you talk at half speed you'll sound like a Southener....
Rachie
:Wow Graeme, you have lost some weight since you have been over in the States, are you missing McVities Chocolate Biscuits!!
Cyberjar88
:@TJ: I didn't mean it to sound accusatory. I only meant that he left without telling us that we should look elsewhere for games for a week, that's all.
Chacha
:Welcome back Graeme! Nice hat... but sad look... while your billions of (heartless) lazy-addicts just can't help bright-smiling to have you back :)
Step
:Welcome back
Rhiannon
:Ahhh so that explains the absence- I'd completely forgotten about Independence Day. I think it shows I've got far too much time on my hands that I got antsy having no updates for a week...
Edward s
:i dont get it back from vacation werent on this site this morning.....
Teowli
:You should have worn a Viking Helmet. Those are always dashing at holiday parties. ;)
Zappy

Nibs
:Yep we fought long and hard against those limeys. I hope they are still enjoying those limes. While we here in america are enjoying our patriotic lemons. Did you eat any lemons on vacation graemey?
Karstenmp
:Hi Graeme & Jen!
I hope you had a great time on 4th of july.
It seems so when i look at your hat...LOL
Coolgirl
:graeme. im still waiting for the wedding pics etc. did i miss it?
Catherine
:Ditto Coolgirl. I have searched this site relentlessly for promised wedding photos.....all to no avail. Perhaps we need to point and click for them?
=jsy= $H466Y
:with reference to the weight comment its probably the lack of cheese and bacon oatcakes
Jac
:Seacrets eh? I'm starting to suss out that we may be in the same bit of the USA Graeme! hope the traffic on the bridge wasn't to bad for ya!
Tine
:@Graeme: Welcome back! And don't worry about the sad look! I've also got a picture of myself like that. It was a few years ago, I had the best vacation ever and when I had to go back home I looked like I was gonna hit someboby... :-) But I didn't, I'm a nice person ;-)
Mtabprox
:Try the Pain In De Ass at Seacrets next time, Graeme - they're awesome. Personally, I prefer to hit Shenanigans on the boardwalk, though (it's up around 4th, so a pretty long haul from Seacrets...but well worth fighting the traffic!). Ask for the Shillelagh; it's their signature drink, and VERY yummy! =]
Shannon
:Wow! Secrets, Shenanigans, I got a headache just reading those names. And yes I agree the Pain in the Ass is fantastic but also try the Rum Runner at Brass Balls.
I've been visiting Lazy Laces for the last couple of years now since I've been living on very remote islands around the world- and have a bit of free time. Graeme, please enjoy Maryland and don't be afraid to dig into the crabs.
By the way, my husband and I were recently back in Maryland temporarily and had to take the driving test as well and he, being from South Africa, had a tiny bit of trouble but in the end made it out pretty much unscathed. Congratulations!

I have played most of the last games posted over a week ago three times already!!
