:Graeme will be coming back, I've got faith; he just needs to...
ESCAPE THE BUSINESS TRIP!!!
Come on Graeme, think - there must be a piece of the key cut up like a jigsaw somewhere in that bin...
Seriously, why would he be posting so frequently up until a certain date and then disappear? To be honest, I think he'd offer to hand/sell the site over to someone else if he was thinking of quitting, and he's definitely say goodbye.
Fret not one and all
Chacha
:A <strike>Friday</strike> Wednesday song:
Why don’t you come back, please Graeme?
Why don’t you come back, please, Graeme?
Come back and staaaay foooor gooood this ti-ime
Come back and staaaay fooor goood this ti-ime....
Bubbles24
:PLEASE COME BACK GRAEME!!! PLEASE!!!
Dilly
:Every day you think 'maybe today, I'll visit lazylaces and I won't be greeted by those cowing sunflowers'. Hope he comes back soon else I'll have to go out and get a life!!!
I'm in South Wales btw.
Chocoholic
:i dont hav tym to get the link but there is a new game made by the ppl who made hopping ham and kapabo incase any1 wants 2 get the link for every1. its called "crybaby bammy's adventure" or sumthing.
btw y r u doing this to us Graeme?
also im really starting to hate that game "van gogh room"!
Dan
:he still didnt come back yesterday i wonder why......
Isis
:I just find it strange that he didn't post a comment about leaving for awhile. Most business trips you know you are leaving so you would have time to take 5 minutes and post a comment letting people know. He isn't in a country where he doesn't have access to the internet and meetings don't last 24/7, so to hear nothing from him seems very strange. I know people have other things going on in their lives but to take 5 or 10 minutes to leave a post here can't be that difficult.
Helen
:Awww now i'm worried - I thought my google widget had broken as there were no new games - but now i find that lazylaces hasn't been update in nearly a month. Just not like Graeme at all... If he's just bored or busy or whatever I have no problem with that whatsoever - it's just the not knowing that is worrying. I requested friendship on FB and sent him a message today - whether it will work or not I don't know. Does anyone have ANY news?!
Helen
:ah ok i read pretty much every comment except the one that actually counts - on page 6. Semi-relieved now.
Killjoy
:Well we can see why its called Lazylaces, they are lazy webmasters. Time to move on to a better site thats up and running. ZZZZZZZZZZZZ
Dark
:I've been posting every day sometimes twice a day for about a week so I guess I'll keep on for a while longer.
So whats everybodies favorite escape the room game? Mine is White chamber, its by the same guy who did crimson room if you have played that one.
I also usually like the gotmail ones.
Afspam
:I think my fav is MOTAS which I recently re-played. Gotmail for sure is up there, along with those newish ones with the animals and witches with alternate endings (can't remember what they're called).
Crap, can't forget Daymare town and Submachine, I think they are actually my favs.
Oh, wait...I can't forget about all those keys! And I do love wogger mini, even though it's a little repetative now.

:While in DC, Graeme got a job working for a government covert operations group. He is currently on assignment and has gone "dark" as ordered by the President. Later this week, you will read in the news that the theocratic government of Iran has been toppled and Graeme has been installed as the new, secular head of state. Vice President Cheney has confirmed that Graeme will be back next Tuesday to continue feeding our PNC addictions.
Seriously though, I never post here, prefering to steal the solutions of others rather than contribute my own... but I am worried about the guy...
Cyberjar88
:He should have been back by now... And I agree: really starting to hate Van Gogh Room. I mean come on! His honeymoon didn't last this long!!!!!
Andiar
:@ Dark - my favourite game on this site, although not an escape the room game - is The Asylum. My fave escape games would have to be The Submachine / Daymare Town series'. I have never played any of the scary games like Exmortis, because I'm too much of a coward and hate nasty surprises!
HunterThompsonWanabe
:Favorite game?
Nearly anything by the Great Wizard of Poland, Murtaugh, of course. Pure genius.
Also, Renegade's "Leaving Your [blank]" / Find the Keys games are absurdly fun.
Irene
:I just hope he is alright and that driving in the u.s. didn't turn out bad for him. I have wondered about his family..maybe something sad happened there. who knows. I just know this isn't like him to abandon this site without a word. I am from the USA, NC.
Dark
:Yay Irene is from my state.
Andiar, I played the 2nd exmortis game and I thought it was ok-deffinently spooky and more of a plot than alot of point and clicky games if you care bout that sort of thing. I started the first one, but didn't like it. Personally I didn't like em to much b/c they are more like interactive stories or something- ie no challenge. (I would like to know how the story ends though)
While were on the subject does anybody know if he ever made a third exmortis, there was a voice over competition for it at Jay's but I never saw the game come out.
Cyberjar88
:If this is supposed to be a joke, Graeme, I've got news for ya: WE AIN'T LAUGHING!!!!!
Leezeo
:Bye Killjoy I don't think we will miss you. Ok that was not nice but I think if you don't care enough to be patient and if your not a loyal fan of Lazylaces then go find another community. I miss Graeme but I am also enjoying getting to know all the lazylacers out there.
BTW I was born in CT., Raised in AZ, lived in CA, FLA 3 times and WVA. USA
We miss you Graeme. yes your a stranger but we all feel we know you like our brother.
Irene
:Cool Dark!! hanna is coming!!
Opie
:At some point, doesn't he have to pay for having this site?
I'm From Illinois.
Where are we meeting if this site closes?
Chocoholic
:sum 1 should make a point n click game about this! like "point n click to find graeme" or "point click to rescue graeme for the evil aliem space monsters who abducted him nd kept him from us lazylaces" or "help graeme escape the room" or sumthing like that. btw this is just getting annoying!
Gemini
:Doesn't Graeme have anyone else in charge of this site that is close enough to him that they could give us updates regarding him?
Also has anyone tried e-mailing him or even getting in contact with Jay from Jay is Games? I know Jay is good friends with Graeme as he attended their wedding. Maybe Jay could give us a scoop on this vanishing act.
AbbyGuy
:Still nothing??? Does anyone know where else like this place....Im not leave LL, just looking for something else till its back up and running...From BC Canada btw
Clemma
:Now I am getting worried too - don't usually post comments, but feel the need to join in the "we miss Graeme" brigade.
btw from North East England
Swan
:hey guys don't frighten me, don't say that this site will close. i'll miss you guys. i do not usually chat, but i trust this site and i feel that all the nice people on this site are a part of my family now. i know i sound corny, but it's true you know!
Nutty_ZA
:I wouldn't worry about the Site Closing...
I'm sure it's paid for By Automatic Debit Order...
Guess Graemes just got better things to do now that he is Married... give the guy a break
Dark
:I knew that american girl would be trouble : )
Swan
:thanks nutty_za
Sulliff
:I thought things would change when he got married but not this drastically. I just hope he's ok.
Susan
:I love this site. Like a lot of people I don't comment but I get a big kick out of the one's who do. I feel like I'm part of the lazylacers family and I miss Graeme

Andiar
:@ Dark - I remember reading something about the guy who made Exmortis. Apparently he made a 3rd one, had it finished and ready to publish, then someone stole his laptop .. and he didn't have a backup copy. Ouch.
For those worried about closure of the site, it doesn't expire until 2011 according to whois.
Spanky McPipebomb
:@ Andiar
The whois lookup is just for the domain. The hosting is what keeps the site up and running, and that is generally paid seperate from a domain and may not be prepaid as log as the domain.
Regardless, I'm sure Graeme and Jen are fine, but just got busy. Life happens and things like this site can become less of a priority at times. Do we miss it? Sure, and I'm sure Graeme misses updating it too. Remember folks, he's a newlywed now, and that takes quite a bit of your time. I'm sure he'll be back, and until then, there's always any of the other links on the side that you can visit for your PnC fix.
Kitt82
:where is graeme??! we miss u!!
I do hope all is well with him and his missus.xx
Come back soon! xx
Red5on
:I cannot Figure Out The Paperclip and the wires ? my brain keeps sizzling . what shape for the paperclip
Afspam
:okay, discussions about how much we miss Graeme are all fine and dandy, but we need a new topic.
Perhaps you can help me solve a tricky situation? I am about to have a big bash for my 40th birthday and I haven't solved the riddle of how to address Dad, his Girlfriend and Mum who won't be in the same room with the Girlfriend.
BTW, I'm in Toronto
(I'm sure if Graeme hears his site's turning into an Agony Aunt column he'll come back!) :)
Minxi
:Afspam: is it possible that one of the parties doesn't really want to come to a big bash anyway and you could take them out for a lovely meal instead? May solve a lot of friction. I'm in Yorkshire BUT was in Toronto - beach area - beautiful.
HunterThompsonWanabe
:I agree w/ Afspam that we need a new topic, although I'm not sure family bickering will get us very far. Still, here's my two cents worth:
Explain to Dad & Girlfriend that, while Mum may be being unreasonable, a birthday party is no reason to start WWIII. Ask them to be the more mature ones and decide that Dad & Girlfriend should arrive early then make some excuse about a another engagement and leave soon after Mum arrives.
Timing is the key . . . It has to look as though they were already on their way when Mum shows up, so Mum doesn't feel she's being disrespected.
Another alternative is to ask Mum to be mature and do the "I have another engagement" routine.
Finally, if you suggest both of these and no one will cooperate, do a three-way call and tell all of them that it's your g*****n birthday and if they can't deal with sharing the same space for an hour, then they should all just stay home until they can grow the **** up.

:Hi Afspam, i agree with above or you could suggest that as it is your big day and they bought you here 40 yrs ago maybe just your Mum and Dad could attend and be oh so polite to each other for your sake (and if your Dads girlfriend can be bighearted about it!) Then maybe you could go out for a meal with your Dad and his Gfriend on another evening as Suggested previously. but really they should be doing the worrying and sorting about this not you. hope you have a Happy Day.
Tracyjay
:BTW I noticed Graeme logged into his MYSpace page on 18th july so that eases my mind somewhat
MsDolfinn
:Love the solutions Hunter!!! Personally my vote is for option 3. Afspam, whatever you decide to do, I hope you have a wonderful birthday!
Afspam
:I love Hunter's last option, but considering that my Mum lives with me, I'll put that in the last resort column :)
This would have been easier if they had separated when I was 12 rather than 32. They're both good people and Mum will eventually get over it, but doing this late in life makes it harder to adjust, I think.
I think I will attempt the whole splitting into two parts method, with all parties aware of what's happening. My Dad is an early to bed kind of guy, while Mum likes to party into the evening.
Thanks so much for the suggestions. I know it's a little strange to be doing this with strangers, but it's too close for me to see this clearly. There's also quite a lot of background baggage (as there usually is!) that feeds into it, but we don't need to go down that road on here!
Now, let's get back to food. How about Buttertarts? anyone heard of them? (anyone not from Canada, that is)
Kitt82
:just letting u know that i have added him on facebook and his status says he's back from a business trip in virginia?! that was updated 5 hours ago.. so maybe soon we will see graeme again!! yay!!
Doc
:Of course Graeme didn't announce that his home would be unattended. Why not put an ad in the paper that begins: Dear burglars.... LOL...
To keep you folks calm, try this nifty little kidsafe game. http://armorgames.com/play/2153/aether
BTW, I'm a Texican.
Swan
:hi afspam, i do not know what buttertarts, i bet they're good. here in malta we love what we call "hobz biz zejt"( do not try to pronounce it) translated its called bread with oil.
its made with maltese bread a delicous crusty bread, spread either with tomato paste or smeared with ripe red tomatoes , sprinkled with olive oil, season well, than add olives, capers, mint, and if you have the mind onions and tuna or anchovies or both, skys the limit lol, its scrumptious. serve with a hard strong cheese and a glass of wine, chilled white wine is the best. enjoy.
