I need some help remembering a game . . .

The object of the game is to get your astronaut animal (maybe a bear?) back to his ship. You sling him through space, using planets of varying gravitational pull to guide you along the proper path to the ship. Maybe 20 levels or so. There might even be a part one and a part two.

Anyone know this game?

Hey All!!! I need some help please!!! I am trying to locate the sequel to a specific game, but i can't remember the name of it, the sequel OR the original.. Maybe if I describe it, it will jog the memory and someone will be a genius and figure it out based on my sketchy clues, I really want to play the sequel.

What i remember.. this game was made last year I believe, and when it was posted, i remember it took an AWFUL long time to load, but the graphics were flawless, there were a lot of GREAT BLUE HERONS in the game, and a tv remote that you had to punch in the time or something... I know the author of the game is an out and proud Atheist (not that this matters, the game rocks, i don't care if he doesn't believe.. more room in heaven for me!!!) and there was a beach scene, and some huts.... i remember when the game came out that it received a LOT LOT LOT of posts here on LL, but I really can't remember the name of it....

does this help at ALL?!?!?

Oh... I also remember there is a code that needs to be entered to get to the second phase... of course i can't remember that either!! lmao

Suzie.... to quote Doug Heffernan, "I could kiss you on the mouth!!!" (King of Queens, Season 2, disk 2, episode... umm... one of 'em.. when the friend comes in with Mets tickets)

Thank you, that is EXACTLY IT!!! which of my horrible clues helped you figure it out?

I personally don't care if new games are posted or not. Most of the stuff that has come out lately is escape the room, which I'm not that crazy about. I just miss Graeme and all his punny goodness. He kinda just disappeared.

One last comment about space (and cornish pasties)...

I don't know whether space is curved or not - I'll have to look into it (look into the theory that is, not look into space). Although I spend a lot of time staring into space so perhaps I should know by now.

@ Dark - I'm also not sure that the universe is expanding. It might be that it's just expanding in our particular area - it could be contracting somewhere else at the same time for all I know.

I had a cornish pastie today. It tended towards zero fairly rapidly (yum!), became infinitely small, and finally disappeared entirely into a black hole. I suspect it will re-appear, in a different place, in a somewhat altered state!

You can take an analogy too far Andiar, and that was almost there! :P

But Pasties are indeed yum! and people like Dan and 007 need to read the posts(yes all 350+ of them!), Greame is away on a business trip :p he'll be back soon

Missy --

Thanks for responding. I'm afraid that's not the game I'm looking for, though. The one I'm trying to find is a series of levels, each progressively harder, that only uses the mouse. The astronaut is "flung" to his spaceship, using intervening planets and their gravity to get him from A to B.

Again, thanks for giving me a response. I'll keep looking.

Regarding division by zero, since people have asked:

Consider the following sequence of divisions.

10 / 10 = 1
10 / 5 = 2
10 / 2 = 5
10 / 1 = 10
10 / 0.5 = 20
10 / 0.1 = 100
10 / 0.001 = 10000
10 / 0 = ?

As the number we are dividing by gets smaller, the answer gets bigger. So you might say that it makes sense say that dividing by zero gives you infinity.

Let's test that out.

4 / 4 = 1
3 / 3 = 1
2 / 2 = 1
1 / 1 = 1
0 / 0 = ?

So now dividing by 0 gives us 1. Or maybe that's just because we're dividing 0 by 0.

Now look at this:

6 / 3 = 2
4 / 2 = 2
2 / 1 = 2
0 / 0 = ?

Oh dear, dividing zero by zero now gives us 2. Looks like we have a problem here.

So trying to divide by zero can apparently give all sorts of contradictory answers, and there is no one definitive answer. But the thing is with mathematics is that doing the same thing should always give you the same answer, otherwise you get into all sorts of trouble. So we are forced to conclude that dividing by zero is not possible. It's nothing to do with mathematicians not being smart enough or not having found the answer yet or the human mind not being able to comprehend what dividing by 0 means - it's simply because it can't be done.

As for where Graeme is, did you know that if you click on the picture at the top of this thread ten times in a row, Graeme's face pops up?

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
Did you try it? Gotcha!
