Hotel 626

Hotel 626 provides some rather eerie accommodations that you may only investigate between the nightly hours of 6PM and 6AM (unless you are scared of the dark and you don't mind tinkering with your computer's clock). The game freakishly asks not only for an email address and all that jazz, but it also wants to control your web cam and mic (I haven't played up until the point where the purpose of this is revealed)! Consider your privacy invaded! I'm also totally baffled how all of this promotes Doritos, but I guess that's because I'm not an advertising exec... [subbed by Min].

that would have been okay, except that you actually need a mic and camera to play it.

I liked the subtle change of the staircases being triangles, like doritos.

It was too hard to work out what was interactive and what wasn't. I gave up on it.

This game should come with a
"Do Not Disturb!" door hanger.

What's that, mother?
No, no...I was talking to all
the nice guests.

No, mother... don't make me do that
... I won't ....you can't make me!

All right, mother...but this is the last time...

I have no idea what's going on. I've died twice. Where do the webcam and mic come in?

Ah, I spoke too soon. The very next level was the "lullaby" one.. which I skipped since I was unwilling to enable the mic. Also, I don't have a webcam hooked up on this computer.

Got to the lullaby and quit. Too scary for my tastes...

Scary.....but i got to the level where you need a webcam to proceed. I haven't got one so I gave up. However - game is pretty good, but it does not make me feel like opening a bag of Doritos.....far from it :-)

I played clear through without the cam and mic, just leave that box unchecked.

This is really suck. Next time we all boycott this kind of game and don't waste time on it. There are millions of games available on many different websites why need to play this game. Nothing great.

The concept is really cool...especially all the interaction. Plus, the music and sound effects were awesome. It's just a little frustrating that they expect you to use a webcam and so on. But, I got through it w/o entering either. Sooooo, enjoy!

ok, so I believe I got as far as needing the webcam, but had to stop as I kept losing a lot of the things...I didn't dare have the sound up lol...I was pretty creeped out when

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
I failed to correctly enter the code...even without sound, the guy suddenly standing there and turning out the lights was pretty creepy

The best part of this game is seeing all the webcam shots at the end. It shows your own, followed by all the other players. It seems that it didn't occur to most players to a) give a fake name and b) turn your webcam to face the wall!

My favorite shots were the guy using inverted colors, and the one that was a pic of someone's window blinds.

P.S. I never realized how many guys game shirtless lol
