Are there multiple endings?

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
I didn't staple my papers together. I had a pack of staples, but couldn't find a stapler, and it let me put the papers into the machine anyway. I got a snowy end that says "Merry Christmas", and I'm curious if there is a stapler, and whether it affects the ending.

The stapler is

behind the green clocking-out mechanism on the table.

Now can someone help me figure out how to
SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
open the metal box with the third page inside? I have the ratchet from the first safe, but it seems to be the wrong tool.

Oh, dear... that was silly of me.

You first need the socket for the ratchet from under the aerosol can lid on the shelves.

To A: I found a stapler and stapled my documents together, but got that exact same ending. I don't think you actually have to staple them since the reason for the documents is the same.

I'm such a spaz... yeah, I got it - it's due to the position of the boxes (duh!)

The 2nd time through, all I did was:
1) open the safe on the forklift and get the key
2) open the toolbox and get the timecard
3) punch the timecard in the timeclock
4) put the timecard i the rack
5) open the door

Didn't get any of the papers or ratchet/socket. All you need is the timecard to get out.

Help With Adding Comments:
SPOILERS/HINTS: Use the special <spoiler>, or <hint>, tags by wrapping them around your comment if you want to provide help in games comment threads. 'Wrap a tag' around your comment by placing one tag in front of your comment, and one tag after. See the examples below:
  • Just type a regular comment.
  • <spoiler>Wrap spoilers for games in spoiler tags</spoiler>.
  • <hint>Wrap hints for games in hint tags</hint>.
If you are still stuck, try copying and pasting one of the examples above into the comment box, or use the hint & spoiler buttons.

AVATARS/GRAVATARS: Comments now support Gravatars if you would like to use your own user avatar/picture/icon on your comments. Simply enter the email address from your Gravatar account in the email field when adding your comment if you would like to use this feature. This is purely optional though, and you do not need an Avatar, or a Gravatar account, to use the comments. Note that if you enter your email address in the email field, but it's not associated with a Gravatar account a default avatar image will be used.
