Simeon Meade 1: The Cell

For those of us that are able to focus (tenuously arrived at, in-game, pun intended) Simeon Meade 1: The Cell provides a dark and brooding return to photorealistic point'n'click gaming. From the same people that brought you The Obion Series back in '06 [subbed by josh ledbetter].

OKay, I'll admit that I'm stumped.

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
if you take the numbers scratched into the bench, 1-9, and lay them out on a 3x3 grid, there are three possible solutions. This would seem to fit the square box beside the door...almost. The box, however, only has eight clickable points. Even so, I tried clicking the points in order of each of the three possible solutions, with the fuse in each of the three positions, for nine different combinations. None of this caused any change in the game status.

Now I wait for brighter minds than mine to address the problem.

I should add . . .

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
if my hunch is right, that the solution may be finding a way to "activate" the button in the middle of the 3x3 grid.

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
Logically the 6 can only go in the middle left, or bottom left position. If the 6 is in the middle left, only the grid with the 1 or 5 at the top can fit, so the 6 must be the bottom left. This leaves just 2 solutions.

158 518
123 234
679 697

I tried the first combination and it worked

Uh, yeah that's right, I screwed up the 5 and 9 on one solution grid. But anyway what do you mean it worked? How did it work? Did you get the middle button to light up?

Combination:

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
First combination above worked for me, too. I had the fuse in the "door" position.

Also stuck on the 4 digit code. Not sure which way it goes in. Any ideas?

I just went row by row and put in my numbers, I didn't have any problems with the middle button. I can't tell you the secret, because I didn't have a problem with it.
I am still working on the number you have to put in reverse, AFTER you input the right numbers into the 3 X3 grid.
Loopyfruit... just where did you find the number 8974?

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
Look out the door hole, particularly when you put the fuse in the alarm. Code is on the wall when image in focus. But my code seems to be 9C47.

Helpmepleeze and others wrestling with the code:

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
You need to first get the metal plate off before you can access the 3X3 grid. To do so, press the 6th button, 8th button and then 6th button again on the metal plate.

OUT:)

tips

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
1. Look through the door hole with the fuse in the alarm. You will see the code part after the (- bit. Otherwise I don't think you can. This gives you the first 3 digits of the code.

For the last digit, use the "8" form the door plate.

You need to have the fuse in the door slot to get out as well.

4-digit code:

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
With the alarm on, look through the door. On the far left, you see 4-7, go a little to the right, you see 9-3-4. Assuming that the cell numbers are all 4 digits, you can guess that left door is ?-?-4-7, and the right door is 9-3-4-?. Again assuming that those two doors and your door is numbered in order, your cell # is either 9-3-4-5 or 9-3-4-8. The "8" on the far right corner of the door panel is your final hint.

Hepmepleeze:

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
I think you're looking at something different. You're looking at the plate with nine dots on it? The combination of spots to hit there is different from the code everyone's talking about; that's on the number pad underneath the plate.

To get the plate off:

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
Do middle row, right column, then bottom row, middle column, then middle row right column again.

Threeattic, thanks but I've tried that 6-8-6 over and over again (not that I can find any reason why that would be the sequence, did someone judt randomly guess that?), with the fuse in every position. The cover *never* comes off for me. I guess I'm just completely misunderstanding what everyone is saying. Either way, I'm sick of clicking on those buttons.
