The Dream Machine (Demo)

The Dream Machine (Demo) has graphical loveliness aplenty even if it does force me to face up to my getting trapped on a strange island phobia. Is that a polar bear in the background? What year is it? Mr Locke wants me to do what?[subbed by zodiac].

I have no idea how to get him to do anything. I click on objects and he just stands there!! I even try to move him with the little feet icon and it does nothing!! Am I not doing something right?

I'm finding the same, Mellokris. It's a shame, it looks and sounds so great but there's nothing I can do!

I've tried using Internet Explorer instead of Firefox but it still didn't work for me. I'm using Windows XP.

Any ideas, anyone?

I don't even see anyone to move around. I have the island with all the objects and commands come up when i mouse over them, and i have little footprints. "He" must be invisible because when i click somewhere the footprints revolve around that spot like he moved there, but I see no actual character

awesome graphics and it works fine on Fire fox. As some one said earlier make sure your systems are updated if you are problems.

Worm

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
you need to examine the hole after you dig it

Walk thru

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
hoovering your mouse over odjects will indicate if you can interact with it.
pick up 3 peices of wood.
move the rock that is located between the palm trees.
this releaves a lighter, click it
drag wood from inventory onto the fire place
drag lighter to the wood on the fire place
pick up shovel
drag shovel to anywhere on the sand, this will dig a hole
examine hole and take worm
take fishing rod
in the inventory drag the worm to the rod
drag rod to Y shaped branch on shore and wait for fish to bite
click rod to get fish
drag fish to fire place wait
take fish once cooked
drag fish to "yourself"
you will discover a map inside the fish
click map in inventory and notice the x. exit the map back to island
drag shovel to same location on the island, roughly dead center just back from shore line
examine hole
there is an alarm clock click it
you are taken to a new screen which answers why you where on the island. You can look around but that is the end of the demo once you leave this room,

My version of Flash is 10.0.12.36 which is the latest one, according to the Adobe site.

Is there anything else that I might need to upgrad to play the game?

I tried in IE, FF, Chrome, Safari, Opera and it does not work. I also Have flash10. Either I don't have enough memory, or the game is only for mac or non US.

IF YOU ARE HAVING TROUBLE WITH BUGS, try to load the game from the beginning, and then wait a couple minutes at the logo screen. THEN continue to the island. Worked for me after 10 times or so of it not working right.

Help With Adding Comments:
SPOILERS/HINTS: Use the special <spoiler>, or <hint>, tags by wrapping them around your comment if you want to provide help in games comment threads. 'Wrap a tag' around your comment by placing one tag in front of your comment, and one tag after. See the examples below:
  • Just type a regular comment.
  • <spoiler>Wrap spoilers for games in spoiler tags</spoiler>.
  • <hint>Wrap hints for games in hint tags</hint>.
If you are still stuck, try copying and pasting one of the examples above into the comment box, or use the hint & spoiler buttons.

AVATARS/GRAVATARS: Comments now support Gravatars if you would like to use your own user avatar/picture/icon on your comments. Simply enter the email address from your Gravatar account in the email field when adding your comment if you would like to use this feature. This is purely optional though, and you do not need an Avatar, or a Gravatar account, to use the comments. Note that if you enter your email address in the email field, but it's not associated with a Gravatar account a default avatar image will be used.
