Another Side

Another Side takes you beyond the normal limitations of the "escape the room" genre, by replacing the traditional locked door, with an imposing rock face. How do you like them apples?. Lets hope you have been keeping a stick of dynamite in your back pocket... which reminds me - please stop sitting near me... [subbed by Buji].

I'm still stuck with the flowers?

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)

I know that the hyroglyph book in the draw inidicates two books on the large shelf, which then have pictures of flowers which are on the picture... but without the butterflies? Do i not have to think of this yet?

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
the ones on the left are worth 4 and the ones on the right are worth 1. A flower with two red on the left is an 8 for the code in the drawer between the book shelves and one with one on the left and one on the right is worth 5 etc.

The code in the desk is

Walkthrough if you need it:

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)

Look at the picture. You’ll see more of it and like it. Open the drawer, take the card with CBF on it. Under the drawer thing there is something, but you can’t do anything yet. Click next to the left chair and take the handle. Go right.

There is a screwdriver in the drawer of the left cabinet. Take it. Go back, click the drawer of the right cabinet. Check out the book, you’ll need to use the order of signs. Also note the pattern of the squares on the cover. You’ll see some holes on the bottom shelf. Go right twice.

There is a coin in one of the wine glasses, take it. Go back, click the left shelf. Click the trophy, click the box (somewhere on the bottom), use the coin on the screws. Now use the screwdriver to take off the second plate. Take the yellow box and the screws. Check the table, there is a safe. Go left twice.

Click on the bottom shelf of the right cabinet, put the handle there, put the screws on the handle. Pull it up and take the tool. Examine the yellow box in you inventory and use the tool on it. Take the key.

Now turn to the book shelves. Remember the pattern of squares on the book in the right cabinet drawer? Look for the same pattern on the books and when you see it, click on the book (I don’t think this changes, so: left shelves: 6thmiddle shelf and 3rd bottom shelf; right shelves: 5th top shelf and 7th bottom shelf) . You’ll see the signs you already saw in the book from the right cabinet drawer, but these ones are additionally explained. Write it down if you need to. Repeat the steps with every book. Now, these flowers, don’t they look familiar? Turn right and look at the picture. There’s your clue. Look at the top right flowers. The left flower has 1 red petal and the right one doesn’t have any red petals. There are also four butterflies. Now look at the bottom right flowers. There are 2 red petals on the right flower and none on the left. This is explained with 2 butterflies. Now look at the top left flowers, none of them have red petals. Also, there are no butterflies here. Now look at the bottom left flowers. The left one has 2 red petals and the right one has 1. And there are 9 butterflies. So, where there is 1 red petal on the left flower, there are 4 butterflies and where there is 1 red petal on the right flower, there is 1 butterfly. So, for the bottom left flowers we have 2 red petals on the left flower (1 red petal on a left flower = 4, thus 2 red petals=8) and 1 red petal on the right flower (=1). Add the numbers. So the number for the bottom left flowers is 9 (8+1=9). I think the position and the number of the petals change sometimes, so should know how to find the right numbers. Now go to the book shelves and open each book with the pattern we already know. Apply the formula on each sign (explained with a drawing of flowers) and you will get four numbers. Follow the order given in the book from the right cabinet drawer

Put the code into the safe on the table. Play the CBF (from the card in your inventory) on the small piano (I think it was first, last and fourth key). Another cover will open. Examine the CBF card, turn it and put it in the cover that opened. Play the new notes now (“It should be the 5th white key, followed by the black key next to the 4th white note, then the 3rd white key, then the 2nd white key, then the black key left to the 2nd white key then finally the 3rd white key. You should get a gold key.” - thank you Jess!). Go right twice.

Use the two keys on the cabinet doors and pull the levers up. Go back. You’ll see some changes on the mirror. Click on it and you’ll find yourself in another dimension

Click the left cabinet drawer (which is right in the real world), read the warning the book gives you. Go right twice.

Note the time on the clock. Click the left book shelves. On each shelf there is one book you can pull a bit (left shelves: top shelf 5, middle 9, bottom 3; right shelves: top 8, middle 2, bottom 4), they have the known pattern upside down. Find them, remember their positions and quickly click on them. If you hear a sound of something opening, you know you did it right. Go back, the middle drawer below the books has opened. Take the jin-jang piece. Repeat the operation with the book shelves on the right. Take the other piece. Go left.

Look above the two chairs. Remember (or better yet, write them down) the signs for the planets. Go left.

Click the left cabinet (which is right in the real world), see the arrow? Go back, click on the mirror.

Open the right cabinet, click the upper left corner, there is something there, take it. Well what do you know, it’s a key! Kind of…  Go left twice, note the time on the clock.

Click under the drawer (between the two chairs). Put the key where it belongs. First turn it to the left and put it on 10 (as in the real room), then turn it to the right and put it on 1 (as in the mirror room). You’ll hear a sound of something opening. Go back.

It’s time to use the planet signs. Click them starting with planet closest to the Sun… … … oh, yeah, here you go: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. A circle will open, but you can’t do anything with it. Go to the mirror room.

Face the chairs and you’ll see where to put the jin-jang pieces. After you do that, go to the real room. Face the cabinets and turn off both switches.

Now, you can just exit the door and go wandering through the desert by foot. Or, after you turn off the switches, face the door, click the left edge of the left lamp beside the door. Use the tool, go back, click its right side, use the tool. Remove the lamp, put the coin above the colored lights and push push. Take the key. Click on the door, there is a vehicle waiting for you. Use the key on it. “Fasten your seatbelt, ‘cause Kansas is going bye bye!” (quote from “The Matrix”)

The vehicle changes depending on the lights, I don’t think you have a choice.

That's all I've got. I hope this helped. I got this from another site by a person named LALA. I would have never been able to figure this out. LOL

Although this game is rather interesting but it is too complicated to some extent in which going into the mirror room is something hard to comprehend.
Also, the music is really killing those like mysslf who do not know much about music.

For those who have problems counting the butterfly.

It is very simple. The walkthru actually tells you this.

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
Each Red petal on the LEFT of the two flowers is accompanied with 4 butterflies and each RED petal on the RIGHT is accompanied with only 1 butterfly.

Example: If two Red petals on the LEFT flower; it means 4+4 = 8 and if one Red petal on the RIGHT; it mean only 1...........

After reading this, go back to the walkthru' and try to understand it. Good Luck

Thanks, Amazing.

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
OK, If 1 red on left =4 & 1 red on right =1:
Eye = 1 red on left & 3 red on right = 4+3 = 7
Person = 2 red on right = 2
Ox = 1 red left = 4
Bird = 3 red right = 3
I get 7243.
...which works! (for me)
