the pencil and the pink piece of paper. I was surprised to get the code to the door without planting sunflowers or anything. And the code was wrong too. The circle and the heart should switch places. But it's easy enough to see what word they were going for

Disappointing.

You can use the pencil on the placard under the pug (dog). There's another pencil in the large cabinet. Still don't know where the sunflower seeds would be.

sunflower seeds are in the box under the deck. The code is the crumpled up paper that was also under the deck on the other side.

@Renly : you have to plant the sunflowers to get the right code... and you need more than 2 items... but you can try lucky guessing the code from the letters also :P

Aside from hints not corrosponding to codes, a game with THIS many codes is just plain annoying. I don't even like the typical game where there's just one but I figure, "Eh, they just want to make it a bit hard on you." And put up with it. Two? Very annoying. But THREE? Come on! =/ Not everyone likes to play codebreaker.
