Escape No. 18
It takes persistence and a keen mastery of the refresh button to get Escape No. 18 to actually load but once you are a in it's a lovely little thing [subbed by subzero].

"Service temporarily unavailable"...

Seems like I'll have to get back to it later, when the rush is gone.

Seem to be stuck thoroughly... but since it has a save feature, it's no prob.

And so far I liked it.

Good for you - I only have the SD, some pink stuff that could be anything from some rock or a piece of cloth to a piece of soap or clay, and a bowl with some stuff in it... And no progress for like ages.

Well, there's always another day.

Gee, found where to us the SD...

I wouldn't say it's pixel hunting, but it's sure one well hidden hot spot :)

OK, I've got

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
the pink thing (piece of cloth?) and a lump of raw dough (without the bowl)

Anyone any hint what to do now? I seem to have tried both items on every single hot spot I know of, but nothing gives...

the biggest thing that slowed me down was getting the tv on:
SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
I didn't see the electric cord until my second attempt at the game, probably didn't click in the correct spot. You need to click beside the bottom left of the cupboard under the tv.
Once that was done, everything else was simple!

1. No English...

2. All this "PITA"...

3. And pixel-hunting...

And still rated in the 80s?

1, 2 & 3 make it a triple no-go for me, despite the baffling rating.

A lot of good escape games are made in Japan. Although a game should be playable regardless of the language of the maker (like the games of Neutral or Place of Light), language shouldn't be a dealbreaker if you don't need it to solve puzzles. Remember that a lot of people aren't fluent in English either.
The rating of this site isn't always what you would expect. I find the games of Tometea mediocre and simply love Shanty Shack's games (even though they can be quite hard) but the people on this site seem to diagree with me completely. That's fine though, to each his own. :D

This game does have major flaws though, like the pink blob that you do need the description for because the drawing isn't very good. Or the lower part of the fridge that you can't acces but clicking on it brings you into the fridge, which is very confusing. I don't think the pixel hunting was that bad, after a few escape games you should know to check all around bigger objects and the inside of cabinets, but maybe I was lucky this time.

... what does PITA mean by the way?
