Lost Article
Reading the set-up story at the beginning of Lost Article makes me realize that we ran out of believable explanations of why we might locked in a room in the first place for these games some time ago [via gotmail].

This one is either difficult... or FOS. So far I'm stumped though I did "solve"...

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)

the code for the FOUR box... by reading the clue under the desk and coming to the conclusion that I needed to skip 3 letters and repeat; it was the only thing that resulted in a a series of numbers... but I don't know why I was expected to know to do that... I just took a long look at the strings of letters...

Anyway, so, I've now...

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)

read the diary, but it doesn't help in the immediate so I'm back to being stumped...

I'll meditate.

But I've got a strong feeling that this one is FOS... And could bring out the FullHate.

Well, coming back to this, I found out one other thing that definitely puts this in the obnoxious category...

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)

You know the corkboard with the ad for the game that appears to function as a hyperlink to a bigger version of the ad (or, worse, a walkthrough)?

It is necessary to let this link open up so that you can view a vital hint/formula...

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)

OBNOXIOUS!

But I will play on; having gotten this far; for a bit longer...

RSH:

"This one is either difficult... or FOS."

Ultra-funny, because in my native tongue, Hungarian, "fos" means turd, and is often used to describe something - and object, an idea, etc... - as "wrong", "very low quality". :)

As for GotMail games, I guess it's appropriate - that's why I etopped playing them altogether - as I see this one further justifies my decision :D

What does 'FOS' mean?

Comment 8, Friday, March 16th 2012 11:38:45 AM

BetsyBee

:
Dunno, but I have a feeling it's rude as Bio & RSH have both used it!

Welcome back Betsy! Nice face today :)
I googleized FOS, you're right, it's rude...

Betsy, you've used more rude words than I ever have on this forum - or anywhere else, so just leave it at that, OK?

And anyway, please stop writing about me in every other comment of yours, it's getting way too old. As I have already said it: you hate me for some reason I don't know of - we got it. You don't have to keep chewing on it, the message is clear.

@Bio: Hungarian? Cool. (And yes, {as Chacha discovered}, FOS, while it is an acronym, is pretty much a dead on translation!) XD~ As for BetsyBee, I don't thin she "hates" us; I'm not taking it that way at least...

I just needle her back by running on and on a bit more than I might otherwise have, because I did, will, and do run on and on, yes, but not nearly so much as I do now just to needle her sensibilities and maybe elicit a smile from her or something close to that effect if at all possible, where ever possible, such as in these little but long-winded comments I make here and there.

Oh, and I didn't play this one out after giving it a bit more time; it just seemed to have proven itself too likely to continue with the arbitrary nonsense...

DNP

(but would like to give it a very low score on the one hand; and maybe not on the other... so I'm sticking with "DNP")

I'm suspecting that whoever developed the old gotmail games is not the person doing it now. They used to have logic (sort of), at least they made a lot more sense to me! I always needed help with them, but I still enjoyed them. These are just irritating.
