Can you escape the Crimson Room? Put your thinking hat on, collect the objects, click, click again, and click some more, in this tricky puzzle game. It took me a while, but I got out in the end (post for help via the comments if you need it), can anyone tell me what the CD case was for though?
I drank too much last night. I thought what time it was now. I felt thirst of the throat. The bed was different from usual. Is this a hotel? No, it does not seem to be a hotel. I am shut up. I have to escape...

:man that was fun! i was able to solve it after 15 minutes of clicking here, there and everywhere. i'm also wondering what the cd case is for. i really have a soft spot for flash click 'n think games like these (e.g. Somorost) that make my brain cells work! can't wait for the "next room".
Graeme
:It took me a lot longer than 15 mins as there was one of the objects, I won't say which one as I don't want to print a spoiler, I just couldn't find. I clicked high and low, but just couldn't find it. What really impressed was how much entertainment one room provided, I'm also looking forward to the next room, and I'm wondering what a whole house would be like.
Daisy
:Fanbloodytastic! But I need your help. I've got the ring, 3 keys, the cd case, a memorandum, power supply cable, red box (ring in place) - what do I do now!!!
Graeme
:Daisy - you need to do a whole heap more clicking! Maybe around the bed. Also some things need clicking more than once. I hope I've helped without saying too much...
David
:Okay, I can safely conclude the CD case was a red herring. That's a true fact, unless someone can say otherwise. :)
Graeme
:Having open and shut it a million times, and failing to insert any of the other items into it, I have to concur. perhaps it's a prerequisite for "the next room".
David
 why does my comment time say 20:07 if (a) it appears afters after yours [made at 20:17] and (b) I only made it about 10 minutes ago [more like 20:27]?
Graeme
:Haven't got round to sorting that yet - the time recorded is actually from a hidden field on the form so it's most likely the time you opened the page.
Daisy
:I've been in the bed, under the bed, under the pillow a gazillion times! Well okay, maybe 20. Sigh. NYPD Blue is on in 5 mins, must dash. Dammit, it's a good game. And I *hate* stuff like this normally!
Daisy
:I got something from under the bed!!!!!!!!!! can i say it in French so that-- maybe not.
Graeme
:From you say you still have some bed clicking to do! I'm still desperately trying not to say too much...
Daisy
:Tip of the day: don't disconnect your internet connection to go watch tv for an hour... you'll have to start all over again. [Insert swear word here.]
Graeme
:A "save" function would be kind of handy wouldn't it?
Graetsche
:i have the battery, the metal stick, the box, tape, the 3 keys, the cable, the note (with a URL on it) and the cd case... and clicked a trillion times everywhere... what i have to do???? i'm going crazy. i've to work, but i can't stop!!!!! please help!!!
Graeme
:Try combining some objects and see what happens.
Graetsche
:did that... i just saw the little dancing-movie... saw the little mark on the wall during the movie played... clicked on it, but nothing happens... i only got to the stereo-screen. damn!
Graeme
:Click more acurately.
Jo Webster
:Any clues where I get the combination from?
Graeme
:One of the collected objects should lead you to the combination.
Jo Webster
:Thanks Graeme!!
Daisy
:How do you combine objects? I accidentally combined the ring with the box but don't know how I did it...
Must finish work early to concentrate on that damm room!
Graeme
:Examine the object that you're trying to put things on (eg the box), select the item you want to put on it from your inventory, then click where on the object you want to put it.
Daisy
:Ah! murky buckets...
Fluffy
:hey i cant get to the page! did u guys break it?
Rosie
:Can't find the last item to go on the box (I've already put the rings on) - what do I do?!?
I LOVE THIS GAME!
Graeme
:Fluffy: The page still seems to work for me - perhaps it was just a temporary thing.
Graeme
:Rosie: You're stuck on the same item I was. You need to do LOTS more clicking around the bed.
Bela
:do you other sites with games like this?
i only know http://www.freshsensation.com/samorost.swf
ita good too, and nice :)
Graeme
:If you enjoyed this and <a href="/article.asp?p=425">Samorost</a>, you'd probably like <a href="/article.asp?p=203">Chasm</a>. I can't remember many similar games, but you can try browsing my <a href="/default.asp?c=Games">games archive</a> to see what you find.
Graeme
:<strong>*SPOILER*</strong> : if you're totally stuck and really, really, really want to cheat try this <a href="http://www.lucabrasi.net/yuppicide/crsolve/">pictorial walkthru</a>. It totally takes the fun out of the thing, makes the game last only a few seconds, but it will help you. On the up side it also adds more evidence to uselessness of the CD case theory.
JohnQ118
:The empty CD case is NOT a red herring - it's function is to get you to open the CD player to look for the CD - and what do you find?
Graeme
:But you can open the CD player without the CD case can't you?
JohnQ118
:yes, but thats the clue - to look in the CD player (and get the cord, etc) - most don't need it.
Graeme
:I think trying to open the CD player was about the first thing I did. I kind of take your point, I like to think though that it will be more useful in the next room.
Crush
:Help!
Crush
:Help!
Graeme
:You're going to have to be just a little bit more specific than that :o)
Crush
:Ive gotten all the items(and i just started)and wacthed the movie....now what?
Graeme
:To get all the items you had to do loads of clicking, right? The movie gives a BIG hint about where to click next.
Crush
:My compy(computer)s colors screwed,i cant see the movie.
Crush
:My puters colors screwed,so the ellow lines.
Graeme
:Hmmmmm....you're a bit stuffed then. Try the link marked *SPOILER* above - it has screenshots of the whole game which hopefully will help you out.
Yo mama
:another place with a whole crapload of rooms like these is http://www.albartus.com/motas/ its cool, i liked it haha
Incog Neato
:When you win.......if you read the page carefully the maker of the game tells you to "keep the cd case" as it may be of use in his next room. Appears to me as though he intends to continue the game. Yay! =)
SIMPLETON
:I FINALLY GOT OUT OF THE ROOM AFTER TWO WEEKS WORKING ON IT WITH NO REST. THEN SOMEONE SHOWED ME HOW TO GET OUT OF THE ROOM IN THREE CLICKS, IF YOU WANT TO KNOW HOW... HERE IS THE CLUE...RABWORC... FIND IT AND HIT YOURSELF WITH IT.
Yo mama
:im pretty sure i get what you mean... but what the hell, do i have to find it? where?? i might need a little more help than that, cause i might be a little dumb.
SIMPLETON
:dude, its on the first screen
Anna
:Where is the metal stick?????
Graeme
:To find the metal stick make a thorough search of the bed.
Sala
:how many total rings are there?
