Viridian Room (AKA Crimson Room 2)
I'm too darn busy to post anything, but I had to make an exception here. Take your phone off the hook and put your life on hold, the sequel to Crimson Room is here in the form of the Viridian Room. I'm only just working my way through it now, but feel free to start up a help forum in the comments to this thread as before. My one top tip so far is to peak through the keyhole to see part 1. *joy*

Update: The site doesn't seem to be up the whole time, it must be getting a lot of hits, if you can't reach the game first time around try again later.

MINIMAL HINTS FOR THE STUMPED

things i would never have figured out (thanks Graeme!):

* check everything after you obtain it -- some can interact (e.g., you can burn something while you're looking at it, if you click on the lighter) or change.
* you can't lift the trashcan until you've looked at everything you have already.
* one of the six cards is red in the room (though it's white once you get it), so it's hard to see.
* the skeleton is holding two things, but only one comes right away (remember Crimson Room and the curtains?)
* the combination for the lock is the date the bike was stolen, in MMDD format. (how the hell anyone figured this out on their own beats me. props!)
* the unfolded die has six faces, which matches another set of objects -- but they have to be in the right order. you find the order by copying them from the paper they're written on, and then finding the order for the die's faces on another piece of paper. when you get it right, you'll know.
* since you're building an altar, everything must be PERFECT.
* if it says "there may be unnecessary items" (or something), there are. there was a choice of things to put together, and there was no way to figure out which was correct -- that was a clue.

i finally done it took me ages only completed it cs i had help, (if you dnt want to spoil game dnt read on)i didnt realise you had to keep on burnin the paper wit the hair to get the cross in right order. Dis ws prob harder than crimson room cs i did the 1st 1 by myself

the bike lock is around the skeleton's feet, the combination is hinted at in the diary, which is opened iwth they key, which is below the skeleton's left hand. The cards, One under slipper, one under the meat i think, one on the wall near the ceiling along the brown rafter, one is on the lamp, to get this one you must be looking at the door which leads to the crimson room closely, and click on the lamp which u see at the top, If you're sick of looking for the CODE, on Dec. 31 he writes Her birthday is in two days, which is Jan 2 , also known as 0102 <- her birthday = code : ),

On the shelf you need A lit insence, Chilly beer, CD case with cd in it. then ring the bell, the sketon comes up with the sould box

The soul box, with all 6 symbols you need to put them on the Green dice layout in a certain order, this order is obtained through usage of the Paper in the Medicine jar, and the Paper that the hair is on, you burn the hair and the paper repeatedly until you get a paper with dice numbers on it, these numbers correspond with symbols found on the paper in the pill case, these symbols are the symbols on the pieces of paper that you find around the room, which you put on the green dice layout by clicking on the dice layout with the picture. When all 6 are put on, the dice forms a Soul Box.

the bikelocks password is changed every month. to get it the day is sandras birthday but the month in it is changed to the month it is right now.

the soul box has to be put in order of the piece of paper in the medicene case

the key key to the diary is in the dead guys hand.

the beer must stay in the refrigeratot till when everything is on the table: candle, frame with picture, cd case. and all that stuff, then put the beer on that way it is cold.

each paper thing is scattered around the room, on the walls and shelfs and stuff.

nice game. The ending was nice, dont know why people hate it. Its the person that died comes back to life. Eternal life now. Well the soul cube is easy to do, just copy down both the medic chart thing and the one from the burnt hair and then it will be easy. Apperently the date of the bike got stolen code worked.

Its now 3am, my wife went to bed long ago and my 3 1/2 year old is gonna wake up in about 3 1/2 hours and my wife will have no mercy.

Things that go on the shelf.
1. _Cold_ Beer
2. Incense
3. Incense burning in the holder
4. The CD case w/Its CD

Puting the soul box together... ( heheheh ) You will need the folowing items:

1. Blank piece of paper
2. Pencil

Draw the image that appears after you burn the hair, inlcude the dice dots. Label this drawing 1

Draw all the chinese characters from the little map in the pill bottle. Lable this drawing 2.

Draw 6 boxes in the _exact_ same shape as the side bar. Label this drawing 3.

Compair drawing 1 & drawing 2. In drawing 3 place the number of the character corresponding to to the position in drawing 1 in the box that the character appears in the side bar.

Place the characters from the side bar, in the green unfolded box on the corresponding number that is on the unfolded box. When you place the last one on it, it will fold into a box automaticaly.
