Viridian Room (AKA Crimson Room 2)
I'm too darn busy to post anything, but I had to make an exception here. Take your phone off the hook and put your life on hold, the sequel to Crimson Room is here in the form of the Viridian Room. I'm only just working my way through it now, but feel free to start up a help forum in the comments to this thread as before. My one top tip so far is to peak through the keyhole to see part 1. *joy*

Update: The site doesn't seem to be up the whole time, it must be getting a lot of hits, if you can't reach the game first time around try again later.

yayayay i finished ... thanx to everyone who posted valuable info... anyone near the end of it needing help to put the whole alter together- amke sure the beer is cold, take off the pic- dont need it- dont need the soul box on the alter, light the insense by clicking on it with the lighter highlighted, and just ding the bell- the dice thing takes some time but looking above for help helps a lot! the secret paper is in the medicine bottle- just look at it and click the top of the bottle- inside is the paper and two pills...

Asmodeus, as i recall the bike lock isn't used after you unlock it.
Lola, do you have one of the photos on the altar? because the fact that you could put either one on the altar is an important hint.
Lauren, putting the cards on the soul box is complicated. basic hint: if you get the order correct, it turns into a soul box. if you need more detail, scroll up (start at the top) -- Graeme explained it about a half-dozen times.

THANK GOD. i finished this darn thing.
some key things are:
-burn your paper all the way until it gets its darkest.
-CD at back of diary.
-correct sequence of soul box.
-correct combo for key lock. i think it's supposed to be the birthday. that's how i got it.
-the top shelf of the huge bookcase thing.

haha good luck ya'll. i almost teared my head off trying to solve this thing.

I still don't know what combo I used for the lock. I used the date in the diary and it didn't unlock, and then I just clicked the last number several times and it unlocked. Go figure. Cool game, interesting theme and idea behind it.

The key is located in the left hand of the skeliton. Click the hand several times and it will fall out.

the combo for the bike lock is three days before you started playing the game. like if you're playing on february 5th (0205) then the combo would be february 2nd (0202)
