you have to get all the chinese cards. when you find the beer(refrigerator) picture frame(under red shelves) pictures(in yellow book in cabinent) scence sticks, and match(under garbage bin)put them all on shelves. you will know what to do then. to get the paper on the lamp you have to look at all of the angles and when your looking look carefully.

How the frig do you get the matches under the garbage

Glue Stick

Turn the light on by clicking the bright spot in the bottom center of the screen.
Look in the trashcan next to the small fridge. You have to open the fridge and close it again to be able to reach the trashcan. Get the hair out of the trashcan and into your inventory.
Select the hair in your inventory, and click "About Item". You need to do this to unlock the next step.
Now that you've examined the hair, you can lift the trashcan (if you don't inspect everything in your inventory, nothing happens when you click the trashcan). Get the lighter from under the trashcan.
First of all, DO NOT GET THE CAN OF BEER FROM THE FRIDGE!!!! you need to keep the can of beer refrigerated for another part of the game.
Check under the meat in the fridge to find the first symbol.
Click to the right of the trashcan to turn and face the wall. You'll see another white card with a symbol on it.
Click to the right to turn again, until you see this screen. You'll see a bit of the lamp near the top right of the screen. Click it.
It's hard to see, but another symbol card is hiding on top of the lamp (it's shaded red).
Check the top shelf of the gray bookcase, and look in the left-hand side for another symbol card.
While you're there, check the right-hand side of this top shelf for a bundle of incense.
Check under the two brown pillows to the right of the bookcase for another symbol card.
Check under the blue slippers in the short red bookcase for another symbol card.
Click the slippers to put them back down, then click the space under the red bookcase to get an empty frame.
Look in the bottom cupboard of the gray bookcase for a yellow book. Take the two photos from inside it.
Click the red mat on the floor in the center of the room to reveal a skeleton.
Take the blue bottle of pills from the skeleton's right hand. Then, click the skeleton's other hand a few times until it drops a key. Take it.
Inside the bottle of pills is a piece of paper with symbols on it. You will need to remember the symbols and their pattern. You can try to write the symbols on a piece of paper.
Now that you've got the key, you can take the red mat that was covering the skeleton. Examine it and click it a couple times until you open it. Get the green cross from inside.
The key from the skeleton unlocks the diary, the red book on the bookcase. Use the key on the lock, and read. When you get to the page where the writer's girlfriends birthday is (one page says her birthday is in two days) Write it down. The date is random. Slowly flip through the empty pages of the diary. After the last page you will find a CD. Take it.
Now check the skeleton's feet to find a bike lock. You know that birthday date I told you to write down, well you are using it now, first put in the number of the month, if it is a single-digit put a 0 in first. then put in the day, if it is a single digit number, put in a 0 first (When I played it, it was always April, so, it is a likley chance that you will have to put a 0 in first). When you get it right, it will unlock.
Check the black hair in your inventory. Select the lighter, and use it on the black hair until the pattern appears completely brown.
This pattern is also random, write it down.
Examine your CD case, open it, and put the CD in.
Examine the green cross. Using the pattern from the black hair paper, and the pattern of Chinese symbols from the bottle of pills place the symbol cards onto the numbers of the green cross. When you get it right, it turns into a box.
Now put the CD case, the beer, and the bundle of incense on the altar on the gray bookcase (it's the shelf with the bell and bowl on it). Use the lighter on the bundle of incense to light it. Now click the stick to the right to ring the bell. You just finished a very hard game, CONGRADULATIONS!!!! Now you are ready to play the blue chamber!!!!

Same happened to me! it still said something was missing! but have figured it out! its the beer can! pick it back up and check it out, it may be warm! it says in the diary beer isn't beer unless its chilly! put it back in the frigde then go out through the door into the dark, when you come back in get the can again. it should now be chilly! put it back on the shrine and try again! should now work, good luck

i beat the game! i never post because i just found it today. the only reason a beat the game in 1 day is because all you ppl here[ 'cept the ppl who dont read te other comments, hope u all die in hell], so thx!!!

blue room, u need to get out and get a drink, but u cant find your key, your locked in! u ask a total stranger u havnt even seen, [though paper, u send him or her a note saying help] couple of riddles later, u get the key.

crimson room, u get drunk and go to a crimson room in some sort of jail. u manage to get out somehow with no help

if u beat viridian room, u know the rest of the story
