:I've given the panda icecream and placed the dumpling on the "altar" by the girl & kitten. Now stuck with mystery machine, screwdriver, match and empty box in my inventory.
Please give me a hint someone what to do next.

Did you leave the flowers at the same "altar" that you have the dumplings on? If so, then a ghost should come. Light the match on the fire of the ghost and then light the firework on fire.

foxtail, the mystery machine, the screw driver (which I used on the Skateboard), and the match. I've already gotten the hairy dude to glide down the mountain and that's as far as I've gotten. Any clues for me??

after the hairy dude glided down and bumped his head, I gave him the grass and he threw up some stuff and he's alive again.

After the hairy dude rose from the dead, I clicked on the waterfall (didn't think of that before) and there was a box under it and I gained a block of ice (which I put into the machine to make shaved ice) and I gave the ice to the panda bear which gave me what he was eating on, the dumplings.

:as far as i know, you can't put the dumpling by the witch girl first or you've doomed yourself.

put the flowers and dumplings in the shrine by the witch and cat to get a different ghost. Use the match on the ghost then go to the first scene and use the match on the box thing to get the blue fire end.

1) Do as usual up to the point where you swap the dumplings for the ice cream.
2) Instead of on the altar, place the dumplings on the plate next to the hairy dude and below the girl and cat.
3) Give the cat the foxtail and click the girl to get her to follow the cat.
4) When she places the flowers in the altar, click them to take them, and place them next to the plate of dumplings.
5) Click the dumplings or the flowers again (somewhere around there, I can't quite remember) and a red ghost appears.
6) Light the match and then click the match on the yellowy orange container in the first scene.
7) Fin.

:I am so stuck: the first time ever with one of these games and all the hints and spoilers assume I'm stuck further on than I am!
I'd love a walkthrough or a hint if anyone can help. I've got:

skateboard, grass, foxtail, strange machine, screwdriver, match
I've tried looking at objects in my inventory and clicking on them and I've tried combining them and I've tried using them everywhere I can see to use them. I am stuckest of stuck.

:Ok so I'll do a walkthrough up as far the seperate endings start. The red fire end is comment #32 and the blue fire end is comment #27.
SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
1) Pick up the grass and the match on the first screen. Turn Right.
2) Click the rock to lift and pick up the screwdriver. Turn Right.
3) Click the guy on the skateboard. Pick up his skateboard and use the screwdriver to make it a board that can glide. Turn Right.
4) Pick up the mystery machine and the foxtail. Go left to the first screen again.
5) Use board on the big hairy guy and follow him to the next screen.
6)Feed the hairy guy the grass and he wakes up again. Now the waterfall has turned to ice so click it and a box appears. When you clicked the frozen waterfall you picked up ice and pick up the box as well and open that with the screwdriver to get the fireball. Now use the foxtail on the cat once he's off-screen click the witch. Use the ice on the mystery machine to make icecream.
7) Go right to the last screen and give the icecream to the panda to get the dumplings.
8)Put the fireball in the yellow fireworks container at the starting screen.

:Thank you, Star, that was just what I needed. Once I got past my one stuck point, I found the red ending, then looked back and found the blue one from comment #27.
All I had missed was
