I think that drawer code has something to do with animals in the book - there are four animals (mouse, fox, rabbit and horse) which are listed with "order". But so far none of the combination worked

Walkthrough:

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)

1. Go right from first screen
2. Zoom in on dog picture, take pencil from leaves
3. Go right, take one of the hangers
4. Open bottom shelf of cabinet and take spade
5. Go left twice, zoom in on plant next to table. Use spade on dirt -- get key
6. Go right twice -- use key on top part of cabinet. Move red books and get scissors.
7. Use scissors on snack bag, get postcard.
8. Select snack bag and use "about." Use scissors to open bag -- get note.
9. Turn note over. Use pencil on top and part of note. Get 1234 code and a left arrow.
10. Go left once -- use code 4321 on drawer. Get cat punch ability.
11. Go left once -- select cat and punch the bed. Get paper with clue 1 of 3.
12. Go right once -- punch bed and get clue 2 of 3
13. Go right once -- punch plant by cabinet -- get 3rd clue.
14. Follow that clue. If you can't figure it out, it's

15. Use code on tool box -- get pliers
16. Zoom in on hanger, use pliers on hanger, get hook.
17. Use hook on red ring to get the mailbox.
18. Put post card in mailbox. Use hook on ring again and use cat punch to get the mail.
19. Clue on card refers to green book on the bookshelf. Use the word clues to discover which animal is mentioned, then count the number of pictures to get code

use the scissors on the snack bag twice in a row? I got the postcard from the snack bag but a not as well? I can't even select the snack bag again as its been used and so isn't highlighted anymore - same for the scissors
