The First Door
Puzzle fans may like to try out The First Door, it's a URL changing puzzle, although it is a little different from the norm, having no source code clues, and requiring no graphics manipulation software. Personally I haven't got too far, being stuck with some broken dominos (see above), which hopefully will make more sense to you when you get to them than they did to me. Here's what I think is an official description of the game that got sent through to me:

A new quest began at 12 o'clock tonight called The First Door. A series of tricky puzzles where the answers of them link up to form the idea of the quest: Find the person who needs help: me. I am hiding somewhere in the world and only through the answers to the puzzles can you find my location! I need to be so cryptic in case those who are looking for me find me first. No hunting in the source code or need for photo manipulation software, all you need is the Internet, some skill and the ability to learn things you didn't know before. Please, help me.

[subbed by The First Door (?)].

>.< I feel like a complete idiot. I got through all the doors in a few hours, and have spent half of the day on the location--no luck. :/ I understand:

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
That I need an "and", and that there are two locations that are.. 'in the same place'? I know the K- location that he is NEAR but not in...

And I've got the country/city/general location all worked out... I just have no idea what words to put in! Any help? :/ Feel free to email me!

I'm also stuck on "Sixth". I've read all post, but still don't get it... Help! Please!
Can someone please show me a link to a website where i easily can understand the method I have to use? I'm trying with Plain Bob Minor and all sorts of things... but not working. From the clues I guess it should spell "Near K...."-somthing. But what?!
(I've got email.)

hey! I'd be willing to help, but I had trouble understanding how the answer was reached, I just wound up trying it by chance and got it correct.

The way I saw it, you needed to look at what was "represented" by the title, the background, and possibly something else. Those would give you the "type" of answer you wanted... and then you simply needed to figure out which of that "type" was correct.

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)

e.g., if they were colours of the rainbow, and red, green, blue, purple, orange were represented, you'd need "yellow". they aren't colours, though.

hope I haven't said too much!

Mmoo, I'm stuck in the same place. I have no idea :/ But:

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)

Yes, you want to "stay in the same location", so leave "/TheFirstDoor/TheFinalHurdle/", but change the "ThroughTheFinalDoor.htm" to [wherever he is].htm

Let me know if you find him :/

and Jakesmanor: Have you remembered to change your "location"? ie: the folder you're looking in in the URL?

They should have given you exactly what you need... a location (folder) to look in, and the password you should use. You may not be using the correct format, what URL are you trying to use?

the same place."??

HOLY CRAP! after all this time, I finally got it! This is incredible!

okay, so when they say all you need to do is google "two words", they were right:

Google:

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)

The answer to #5 (starts with a P) and one of the words from the answer to #9 (starts with a K). The second hit should tell you where he is. Remove punctuation

hmm... well as The First Door himself pointed out, it helps if you search for the answer to:

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)

# 11? i think it is. Whatever it is, it is the very last one you did, where the answer was W***** It doesn't look like a clue, but it is. and it is actually IN the title of the place he is.

The title of the #1 hit in google is the location of TheFirstDoor, when you search for:

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)

Three words, the first two being the ones I told you about in my last comment, starting with P and K, and the third being the W-one in the last spoiler ^. Hint: the P word is P***** not P*** :D

BIG spoiler :X
