Looking for a present for that friend who has
everything or do you need an anniversary present for the wife? Well...
"If you've always fancied recreating some of your favourite scenes from such films as Striptease or perhaps Show Girls then this height adjustable Kitten Pole could be just the bedroom accessory you've been looking for!"
160 quid well spent...I hear.
If you tend to punt a lot of files round the net via
ftp like I seem to a nice ftp client is essential. For reasons of sheer laziness (hey! check the domain name) I've been using some software I picked up free for a few years now (I didn't copy it off a friend - honest). After reading the fine Mr.
Ritilan's run down on the
open source software he uses though, I thought I'd try out
Filezilla when I was kitting out the
X40.
After about 3 weeks of usage I have absolutely no complaints and it's all 100% free and legal (not that I'm suggesting my previous arrangement wasn't). I've set up the 3 main servers I use and have been downloading and uploading to my heart's content. I'm sure there are very helpful help files but I haven't had cause to use them yet - it's so logical there's no need - it makes ftp-ing as simple as it should be. Highly recommended.

"
A magazine ran a Dilbert quotes contest. These are actual quotes from managers out there! Any of them sound familiar?"
This freakish
music video is a clever way to get the characters from the film you're the soundtrack for to sing your song for you, but I especially like the cute touches of the singing house and dancing radio. Now I really want to watch
The Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind and hear more from the
Polyphonic Spree (even more than when I played
The Quest For the Rest).
If you want your Windoze XP install 'just so' then you can't beat
Tweak XP for some top tweaking tips on how to go about it. I've now
removed the annoying little shortcut arrow from my desktop shortcuts which has let me admire the beauty of my
homestarrunner iconset. Tweaktastic.
Some chilled out tunes and chilled out flash with
halcyon hours - the perfect calm down site between gaming sessions (minimal clicking required). I especially like it as it features the obscure
Mazzy Star who I love and it reminded me of one of my all time favourite tracks -
Halcyon by
Orbital.
Did I ever tell you about the time I was on the front cover of
Elle? Oh, how the ladies' magazines like an eligible bachelor [

Here in the UK we all learn metric meaures at school (even an oldster like me did), but we like to mix things up a little by sticking to imperial weights and measures irl. The
beeb have a nice
article today with view-points from both imperial and metric camps, along with, as always, entertaining comments from the public which make interesting reading. Personally I'm all for going metric, but having said that I'll always order a 'pint' rather than a half litre (
even if the second is bigger).
Just as one Olympics ends you start seeing
droolworthy graphics of the venue for the the next one. "
The Water Cube will be one of the most dramatic and exciting venues to feature sporting events for the Beijing Olympics in 2008". Very cool, although I can't quite work out if the walls will be filled with water, or just made to look like they will. Nice either way if the animation is anything to go by.
If you liked Bohemian Rhapsody but it was too meaty for you, then
this might be the answer you've been looking for. Enjoy those greens, and remember 5 portions a day is the recommended daily amount to stay healthy [
