The Newspaper Clipping Generator
After playing with the Dummies Book Cover Generator the other day I've now been having fun with The Newspaper Clipping Generator. I'm not sure how these rumours got started though... [via red ferret].

Animatronic Alan
You may not recognise Animatronic Alan (Sir Alan Sugar) if you are outside the UK, but the best explanation is that he is our Donald Trump (he "hosts" our version of The Apprentice). But he has much better hair. This item is a "must have" for every office in the UK, but I can't believe we have to wait until November to re-live:

"You're a lightweight, your're fired!"

Get you orders in now [subbed by Big Kid].

Yakko's World
Yakko's World is some silly cartoon song fun for a Sunday. It name-checks all of the countries in the world (give or take a few, i.e. Wales) sung to the tune of The Mexican Hat Dance (I think). Hello world [subbed by Adam].

Teaser: Jack French 2
Hot of the press is great news from JB: The sequel to Jack French #1 (play now, or re-play, to catch up) entitled "The Good Dr. Ferrer", is soon to be released. See the trailer/teaser here and read a little more here. Get those p'n'c fingers at the ready....

Casino Royale
Watching the trailer for the new Bond film, Casino Royale, is getting me very excited, but how can I possibly contain myself until the November UK release date? I know, I'll continually hum the theme tune until then...der der der derrrrr der derrr derrrrr der der....ad infinitum [via a tip-off from Scott].

Cinco De Mayo
We don't celebrate Cinco De Mayo here in the UK, in fact I had never even heard of it (except as the Spanish translation of a standard date in my calendar) until yesterday. However I'm now reliably informed via the US that it's great excuse for some celebrations and a spot of tequila (read the wikipedia entry for the real background on the date). So if anyone can lend me some lemon and salt I'm off for an interesting lunch today...

Google Calendar
Google took another step today in their mission to take over our entire lives with the release of Google Calendar. Damn they're good though. I've used a variety of web based calendars before, web enabled exchange servers down to freebie web services but this blows them all out of the water. Simply brilliant. You'll need a google account though, but they're very easy to come by. Let me know if you need one, I still have a load of invites left.

QI
We have a bizarre game show here in the UK called QI, well I say game show, it's more a group of people talking about stuff. Anyway now through the wonder that is You Tube I can show you all a clip of it and share it with the world. Note: All British TV is this bizarre ;o)

Monster House
Monster House looks like a great film, but I'm guessing that when it says "summer 2006" that's for the US only, and we won't see it here in the UK until Christmas. Boo. Let me know if it's worth seeing [spotted at op-pop].

Book Of Numbers
The Book Of Numbers is a very bizarre flash thing. Not every "page" of the book is a winner but I liked "can't touch this" (pictured) and the two kids in a car. Surreal. I'm very bored today btw, if you can't tell, will the weekend never arrive?
