Jay writes to tell me (I would have spotted it - honest) that there's a new point'n'click game lurking in the top of page banner for Jay Is Games, by Rob Allen, author of Hapland. Genius idea.

Eye Defence is a super-late entry to Jay's last Game Comp (some would say fashionably late) that takes the competition's "Grow" theme and mutates it into something that's akin to the illegitimate love child of a shoot'em'up arcade game, meets your pedantically ordered/strategied Grow style point'n'click game. Quandary: It's partly not my bag at all, and partly totally my cup of tea. How does it make you feel? Unfortunately though both parts of my split personality are entirely stuck on level 2 and far too addicted to stop trying to complete it... Arrrgh! [via JayIsGames].

For those of you who like to point'n'click things in the right order, at the right time, you'll be pleased to know that Hapland 3 is here, the latest in the Hapland series [subbed by max].

Escape From Rhetundo Island is a nice, quirky, point'n'click game which you should be able to picture from Lynn's succinct description:

Judging by the number of people that have managed to mail me a link to Hapland 2 in the short amount of time that it has been out (thank you all) this is going to be one of the most popular point'n'click games ever. Time will tell. Now stop mailing it to me. Seriously. Stop it. There's only so much my inbox can take and you're making it really hard for me to find all the really great deals on Rolexes I get sent.

The deceptively simple world of hapland has been frustrating point'n'clickers for a while now, but has been curiously missing from the world of lazylaces. Now however this oversight has been rectified. That's your Thursday f**ked.
