Hot off the press from Murtaugh is the absolutely excellent news that a new point'n'click game, "Submachine: Future Loop Foundation", the latest in his Submachine Series, has been released today. Here's the official game description, since I'm too eager to get off and play to write up my own:
In Submachine FLF (Future Loop Foundation) you find yourself locked in a padded room with only an ancient tape player at your feet. From this strange beginning unfolds an amazing mystery that you can solve in a world where memories are the key to the past, present, and future!
Who are you, and why can't you remember how you got here? Who is the Future Loop Foundation? What do they want, and why are they holding you prisoner? Play Submachine FLF and solve the riddle for yourself!
[subbed and created by Murtaugh].
Hot out of my inbox, so much so I've barely had time to open it, is news of Submachine 4: The Lab, from murtaugh, creator of the Submachine Series. Already I can see the sights and sounds are amazing, and I'm sure once we get into it, the point'n'click puzzles are going to be a killer once again. Now, excuse me, I need to go play, I suggest you join me, and in the meantime I'll leave you with murtaugh's game description:
"Submachine. The game in which with every puzzle solved, every chapter finished you fall deeper and deeper into mystery. Fourth chapter takes us to the heart of the submachine, the place where all questions will be finally answered. Or were finally answered. Once again it's time to ask youself - is it possible that you're too late? "
As you may have seen by now I've added a basic ratings system for games (check the rating link at the bottom of each game) which is based on your votes. I've tried to keep it simple with voting on each game restricted to 3 choices: you just say whether you love it, hate it, or if you're somewhere inbetween. The game's rating is then based on a weighted calculation from all the votes cast. I'm hoping this is useful and "works", it's been suggested to me quite a few times in the past, and I believe I have the mechanics of it working, however whichever way I figure it in my head the ultimate success of the feature is really down to how/if people use it. So I'd be very grateful if you'd get voting, especially where you feel particularly strongly about the brilliance, or lack thereof, of a game. Eventually (soon I hope, if enough votes are collected) I'll use the votes cast as the basis for a top 10 games feature so we can see the "ultimate Lazylaces games collection", and to this end you may like to hunt back through the archives for your favourite, older, games and get voting on them, as well as the newly posted ones. Use the search facility (in the top right of every page) to find "your game", or use the comment thread on this post to suggest games for other Lazylacers to check-out and get voting on. In the meantime I have a few suggestions of my own that spring to mind: Happy voting everyone :)
There's a little submachine diversion in Jay's Game Competition in the form of Submachine Zero (game 4 on the link). A nice little bit of point'n'clickery [subbed by Nefretit].
Hot off the press I've just had some great news arrive in the lazylaces inbox this morning from murtaugh, creator of the submachine series, the latest episode, submachine 3, is out now for us to play. Here is his description:
After the submachine2 adventure in the lighthouse you
broke the time and space barrier using the portal at the end
of the game. I hope you knew that this portal was broken and as you took your chance with with you knew that
this could lead literally anywhere and anytime. Well, the journey wasn't quite succesfull. You end up in a
timeless loop. If there is a way out, I hope you will find it.
Good luck,
mur
Ok then, now it's time to get point'n'clicking [subbed

Remember the point'n'click game "Submachine"? Well if you do you'll be pleased to hear that the sequel, Submachine 2 - The Lighthouse, is here, if you don't then play the original now before continuing so you're not missing out. I'll hand over to game creator murtaugh for a full description of "The Lighthouse":
A sequel to the world's famous point'n'click Submachine game, that grabbed minds of millions of people. I received a huge feedback from all around the world, most of demands stated to make the second game bigger with harder puzzles. So here it is, while the first game had 20 rooms, this one has a total of 98 unique rooms, and the puzzles are a lot tougher, but that's just my subjective opinion, since I can't really tell if they are or not. Important notice: this game has NO dead ends, you cannot get to the point of no return, where the only option is to reset the game. No such thing in The Lighthouse. Hope you'll enjoy this game as much as I enjoyed making it, and sure enough, submachine3 is under construction as we speak, so expect more. Flash Plugin 8 required to play this game.
Thanks murtaugh, and good luck everybody.
The first submachine was very popular so I was pleased to hear from murtaugh that there is now a new extended version:
If you've played Submachine before and think you've seen it all... think again. In this extended version there are twice as many rooms to explore and twice the fun. Solve the new puzzle and see the altered ending.take a sneak preview of the Submachine 2 before its even finished.
If you're an submachine addict already, think of this as a warm up for the sequel to this game.

OK, OK, Okay... I know I'm being a bit slack in posting anything this week, but I have a life you know (you wouldn't believe it would you?) and I've barely been home for more than five minutes at a time which makes things tricky. Even as I type I'm not at my PC so I only have access to my webmail, which means I don't have access to all your great game link suggestions, I only have my last 100 mails or so, which are pretty much all requests for copies of submachine (nice work murtaugh!). However I do have a link to Candy, an excellent, if a little pre-emptive, flash movie for Halloween, from the same people that brought you Forgotten. Cute but a little skary [subbed by Flooor]. PS. If you're looking for games in the meantime try raiding the lazylaces archives (links at the bottom of the page).
Some people just play the point'n'click games I post here, some people are nice enough to leave a comment or two to help others, and then again some people, like murtaugh , go that extra mile and write a game of their own, and post that. Most commendable. Submachine has some eerie music, cracking sound effects, and I haven't been able to work out any of the puzzles yet - which means it gets a big thumbs-up from me. Leave your impressions in the comments, I'm sure murtaugh will appreciate any feedback you have.
Update: If you are having trouble getting the game to load try the mirror site:
If, and only if, neither link works for you I've downloaded a copy of game which I can mail to you on request (I must have mailed close to a 100 copies already so please try the links first as there's only so much emailing I can do). My mail link is in the bottom right of the page. Remember to leave feedback in the comments for murtaugh though [thanks to gene for the mirror link].
